My boyf and I come here too often. Friday *is* and will always be «eggs day». We come to Pear Café and eat eggs and Jungle juice. Let me open your eyes to this phenomenon. Jungle juice is made from whatever bits and pieces(of fruit) are lying around and oh em gee. Delicious. All I know is that my juice is red and FULL of ginger. Love. Pear has exceptional service, lovely, accommodating staff. We did just spy one of the staff allowing a customer to take home the metal cutlery for a take away. In love with this place.

Coffee was average, service was average and cleanliness was average… Food was good. Overall kind of underwhelming

Update: this place has sold, not the same moving on I hit this spot pretty regularly. I’ve been lucky to visit and it’s never crowded. Their coffee is primo! My faves on the menu are the banana bread and the deliciously thick sour dough toast with Vegemite. Service is meh… distant, never rude, it is a bit of a turn off, but it is the best coffee I have tasted so far in Brisbane. Plus that banana bread yummmmmmmmm.

Great service, great coffee, great food. There was ample seating for four people outside on a Saturday morning, and we were served immediately. We ordered poached eggs, one with super thick cut bacon and the other with deliciously fresh asparagus, fruit toast with raspberry mascapone, and a fresh apple juice. The presentation was excellent, and they were nice enough to pour the apple juice into a takeaway cup for the kidlet with us.

Today I enjoyed a delicious plate of zucchini and haloumi fritters surrounded by smashed avo, grilled tomato and a poached egg. Faultless presentation and a perfect mix of flavours. I love the relaxed casualness of Pear — with a choice of eclectic indoor seating(tables or couches) or outdoor dining on the footpath. The menu is great and the prices are top-value for the quality and quantity you are served. Coffee is spot-on too. Definitely worth a breakkie visit, even on Saturdays(it’s not ridiculously crowded like many other West End cafes!).

Hey, you’all! Stay away will you! I like to have brekkie with friends here occasionally and hate fighting for a seat. Nice brekkie menu, good coffee. Funky music(literally), a little on the loud side, the other day. Felt I should have brought my bass and amp with me so I could compete, or at least play along.

I’ve walked past a few times, watch it being built with hand made stools. Seen the bench grow to a return. Went their recently to have a business meeting and enjoyed our meals. Did I mention free wi-fi as well? Overall, very cutting and quite nice at the same time. Be interesting to see when the building gets redeveloped if Pear still is around.

Love this place, we are now regulars. The coffee is great, a brand called five senses. The café is nothing fancy, but the service is good. Say hi to Andrew, the owner.

Wow. I just paid $ 25 for two terrific breakfasts and a couple of very good flat whites. What year is it? I am confused. Those prices are ridiculously good. I wish I’d gone to Pear sooner. The menu is inventive and varied, the service was as cheerful as you could ever ask and the café itself is just a pleasant place to be. Both mine and my wife’s meals were excellently done and full of flavour and technique. Perfect portion sizes also. I can’t fathom how they manage to only charge $ 9 for them, but I like it. The beer/wine menu looks quite interesting and varied. I will certainly be back to try the bar snack menu.

Three words: Single Origin Coffee. For $ 4.50 each we sat back and sipped what was easily the best coffee I have had in a very long time. As we sat on the retro lounge chairs and viewed out to the bustling café across our astro-turfed coffee table, it was as if we were in our own living room. The menu is light and focuses on toast with [insert topping of choice from the menu] and for an almost-pocket-change $ 9 its definitely worth it. We hear whispers that this unlikely spot has just been granted their liquor licence and will soon be offering equally delicious delights to night owls.
