Came here for breakfast, it was really good. Ordered the Mexican breakfast option I believe it said chorizo on the menu but did not have enough of it in there. Other that that one issue, we loved it. They waived off the surcharge on AMEX

Offers a diverse range of healthy breakfast and lunch on their menu. Avocado Crush is a current favourite as well as coconut milk lattes.

Was most impressed with Vyve. We were walking up Burgundy St looking for a bite and were getting discouraged after passing a few ‘tradie lunch’ fish’n’chip & chiko roll type places when we found Vyve. This is like a little piece of Fitzroy/Collingwood smuggled into the ‘burbs, complete with hipster touches like drinks in jars, and American burgers & ‘dogs dominating the menu(odd they missed the obvious ‘Heidelburger’ pun in their burger names though!). The food was great — my mate’s burger gave me mad order-envy, and my slow-cooked lamb and greek salad wrap was mouth-wateringly tasty. Will have to remember not to waste time and to head straight here next time I’m hungry in the H’berg.

Heidelberg, for the North-Eastern-Suburbians, is pretty much in the middle of everything. So I find Vyve Café very handy. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here, but seeing as it’s usually open when other cafes are closed(especially around Christmas and New Years), it has become my handy/reliable/in a rush café. Depending on who’s at the coffee machine, your coffee can be surprisingly great, or fairly average. This really proves that it’s all in the barista! Try their Coconut Milk — it’s ridiculously delicious. Give their Almond Milk a miss — it doesn’t blend well with the Atomica beans, and leaves a bitter after-taste on the tongue. All day breakky is handy too. Leo’s Supermarket is just down the road, so grab your coffee, and if you have time, wander down and pick up some yummy gourmet foods for dinner!

Good coffee, waffles tasted pre-made and reheated, but melted nutella sauce is forgiving.

So this was the destination of Mother’s Day lunch. I was given the task to find somewhere relatively close to East Ivanhoe for the older members of my family so that they didn’t have to travel far. I was able to find this place simply due to its amazing reviews on Unilocal. These reviews were well deserved. We got there to amazingly quick service and friendly staff. They even moved us to a bigger table when they realised they noticed we looked a bit squishy on our one we reserved. I got one of there sandwiches for lunch along with a freshly squeezed juice. Now, that juice was indeed fresh, they even went on a fruit run for my brother when they’d run out of apples. It was an amazing juice, lime, watermelon, orange, and something else. The sandwich was just as good. For desert, I had a vanilla slice. Huge and orgasmicly delicious along with a local beer from the Heidelberg area. An american-style pale ale. I think I was the only one on the table that liked it, but yeah, I did. It was a refreshing beverage with a unique flavour that really stood out. Overall, great restaurant. Definitely recommend it.

Best coffee, service and atmosphere in Heidelberg. This is my #1 spot to sip coffee & read on a sunny afternoon. The staff are switched on, welcoming, and friendly. Couches at the front are cozy & inviting. We’ve been here for breakfast a few times and it’s been excellent. For lunch i recommend the club sandwich — YUM! Can you tell I love this place?

This café and restaurant snuck onto the upper end of Burgundy Street with little fanfare. Vyve is quietly confident, which is great news for locals who have discovered this new haunt. The restaurant area is fronted by a stylish lounge perfect for drinks and on a sunny Sunday morning the big wooden table at the front is the perfect place to catch up with friends and read the Sunday papers as you watch Heidelberg wake up . The counter design is representative of the food here; stylish, classic and well made. The coffee and breakfast choices are robust, well sized and high quality. The eggs are free range and sourced from Gippsland. The lunch and dinner menu reflects chef Bruno Lima’s South American and Mediterranean background. The service and food quality is consistently good. Vyve is just warming up!
