I’ve been to Picasso’s a few times so far. The customer service is friendly, however there is one women who always seems to be in her own world and gets my order wrong — likely because she likes a good old chat to her co-workers instead of concentration. The food is delicious… or so I thougt. I went into get my lunch the other day and while I waited to get served I noticed a couple of flies or more helping themselves to all you can eat. They had landed on the egg salad and unfortunately I can’t go back. Fly pee for lunch doesn’t sound appealing. :(

Service is sooooo slow. I came here on a Monday morning, and there were like two other people here. Ordered, then proceeded to wait about 15 minutes for my pancakes to come out. I mean sure, I’d understand if they were something complicated, but pancakes? Meh. I got the strawberry pancakes with vanilla ice cream & maple syrup, and it was just average. The overall combination of flavors was just really sweet, and the pancakes were very eggy flavored. However, I still enjoyed it and for $ 7, it was pretty good for the price. :) I would come back just for the food, the service is meh and the ambiance is no better. I felt like it was just one of those cafes on a tight budget and tries to survive on good food, but unfortunately, the only thing going for them is an attempt at a fancy breakfast for a low price.

I like Picasso’s. However, I do have to note that the food itself is only 3 stars. However, the lovely customer service I experienced coming here bumps this place up to a well deserved 4 stars. Ambiance: Not at all that impressive — really basic décor. You order and pay at the counter, then the food comes out to you. They have some booths as well as basic tables and usually the booths are reserved for larger groups of people. My boyfriend and I came here and they happily told us that we could just sit at a booth and it wouldn’t be an issue. Customer Service: Great! This place is run by a gaggle of lovely ladies happily greeting people. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. You cannot find a friendlier restaurant elsewhere! Food: The food was decent. They have a great variety of meals on the menu so there’s bound to be something you like. BREAKFASTALLDAY. My breakfast was pretty delicious — eggs, bacon, sausage, spinach, toast, tomato, mushrooms — now that’s a big fucking breakfast. The meal was pretty filling and reasonably priced. My main critique would be that the toast was a bit too burnt, but everything else was lovely. — I highly recommend Picasso’s to anyone who is having trouble deciding what they want on Glenferrie Road. Decently priced food and terrific customer service!

Picasso’s has been around for quite some time now and always seems to be busy when I walk past. This is a café that offers a wide range of food including cakes, sandwiches, coffee, tarts, drinks and more. The café also boasts comfy and extensive seating and there are nice little booths that act as a sound barrier to the noise of the street and the Maccas next door. Whereas Marios up the road is more about the coffee, Picasso’s is more about the food and you can have a delicious sandwich made up or invest in a huge slice of cake at any time of the day. The only problem you’ll face is making your mind up when it comes to the varieties and flavours on offer. The service here is pretty fast and seems to be friendly. I’ve never had a problem with waiting for food and the wait staff seem to cope well with the crowds.

A quality chill out oasis in busy Glenferrie Road. What had attracted me to this beautiful establishment was the well displayed sandwiches and cakes. Their fruit flans are to truly die for. Refreshing and flavoursome with real, authentic custard. Modern, chic and sophisticated, and oh so completely different to nearby Mario’s coffee house. Love the ambience; it is inviting and full of positive energy, and the customer service matches the culture of this establishment. It is real authenticity; it is real and enlightening if I was to describe a café such as this one.
