Guildford Grammar School Chapel

I’m not a traditionalist, nor do I align myself closely with any Christian faith, but I could just about get married in GGS church it is that stunning. Utterly breathtaking.
Also known as the Chapel of St. Mary and St. George; the heritage listed structure is a beautiful, gothic, behemoth of a chapel. It spans about 25 meters in length and 21 meters in height.
European marble floors, hand-​carved oak, luminous gold altarpiece and striking stain-​glass windows are just some of the features. Words really struggle to express its grandeur.
I’m not so well read on the various biblical saints and kings but the ample windows are filled with intricate religious figures in clear and stained-​glass, that would wow even the most stringent of atheists.
The exterior of the chapel is as equally as magnificent as its inside splendor. The chapel is surrounded by acres of the greenest grass and framed by deciduous Plane trees that turn shades of red and yellow in the Autumn.
It’s no surprises this is a popular venue for Weddings; the GGS Chapel and it’s surrounds are truly magical.
