Gourmet Indulgence

Since entering Gourmet Indulgence I feel like I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole. I’ll tell the tale…
I stumbled across this quaint cottage on the Guildford strip mid last year. I was after the perfect present for the perfect pal and thought this shop might have something in store for my foodie friend. They did; Belgium drinking chocolate. The real Deal. Awesome. My purchase was also aesthetically pleasing. The tall, classic tin cylinder embroidered with ornate writing seemed to suggest something special resided inside.
The lady working in the shop that day was extra helpful and suggested other gourmet treats I might like to give my friend. Spicy tomato relish, caramelised onion and capsicum, tea of all varieties, top quality cheeses and beautiful biscuits from far off lands adorned the shelves.
Today I went back to this gourmet deli cum café. Hint; they make all their cakes and other delights on the premises… yu-​um! What caught my eye this time was a sign on the window that said, ‘Set Menu on Tuesday nights’. There are a few small tables and chairs outside and only room for a few people inside. I inquired about where the set menu would be served and was taken though to the dining area and, wow, what a Wonderland!
Large and ornate antiques only just fitted into the intimate, inviting area. Eye catching and soulful art and delightfully mismatched place-​mats smiled at me. Tall candles, individual and unique to each table, tantalized my imagination. What a truly enchanted nook… I relish the thought of an evening escapade here.
