Drive down King William Street at any time of day and there will always be a truck or a taxi stopped outside the Cobble Corner Snack Bar. To me, it’s a sure sign there’s a good feed to be had inside.
If you’re in the mood for a Balfours Pie or Sausage Roll, a Cherry Ripe or a Vanilla Slice then this is the place for you. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and they know and remember their regular customes. You can grab a seat at one of the tables and chairs inside or eat your meal on the run. They also serve the normal snack bar fare like milkshakes and icecreams or you can grab a custard tart or a newspaper.
Look for the vine covered verandah on the left hand side of King William Road as you head towards the city. They’re a bit further along than the rest of the shops so its usually much easier to grab a park here.
