As you walk into Ambient you are immediately hit with the delicious smell of the woodfire pizza oven. As others have said the service is a little lacking and we found that we had to call for a waiter so that we could order. The overall feel of the restaurant is a bit like a cafeteria given the large open dining space and lack of soft furnishing to soak up the noise. However meals are tasty and serving sizes are good. Pizzas were delicious as was the Balinese coconut curry prawns.

Lovely café type feel the food is delicious and service is wonderful. We returned for a second visit after our first dining experience as it was such a pleasant dining experience. I love their home made ice tea it’s always changing and is always yummy! I love how close to the beach it is if you sit out the front you can see the water and the occasional afl player roaming around :) We will definitely be going back to the ambient it’s worth it!

Service is very hit and miss. I have been here numerous times, sometimes they were great(very accommodating when I was their with my pram), other times they completely forgot to bring out our food(on more than one occasion). The food itself is quite lovely, but it is also very pricey; $ 6.50 for a glass of apple juice(from a bottle, not freshly made) is a bit much. The Bircher muesli is worth a try.

Nice restaurant with a good atmosphere and decent service. Wood oven pizzas are good, although I would expect a little more topping for the price. My girlfriends pasta was a little bland. Worth a visit though.

Pleasant restaurant/café, well located on Moseley Square. Serves breakfast/lunch/dinner on most days. Great wood oven pizzas and a good a la carte menu. Service is OK without being outstanding. Strangely, given its name, our only criticism is that we felt it had a little too much cafeteria feel about it. I guess ambience is subjective! Still definitely worth a visit.
