We were excited to try this new pizza eatery with the reviews we’ve read only to be disappointed with tastelessly bland pizzas and overwhelming garlic in the spaghetti bolognese. This is the first time we’ve ever had to add salt to pizza. Never again.

Pizza & pasta here are great value and even taste better than the much more expensive offerings inside the foodcourt itself. The fluffy base pizzas taste great. The marinara pasta with garlic is fragrant & yummy. Overall a cheap yet excellent takeaway.

This place, now that I live 2 suburbs over has made it worth driving over simply for one thing: Their tandoori chicken pizza, When I used to live in Glen Waverley I converted every single house-mate to the magnificent tandoori chicken pizza. They are not stingy with the chicken OR the sauce(unlike almost every other pizza place when it comes to tandoori chicken) and they don’t make it stupid and try to put yoghurt on it(like many other places.)

I come to Papa Johns when I’m in the mood for a very particular type of pizza(their pizza to be exact). This isn’t a gourmet fancy topping, crispy base kind of place. It’s a small ordinary takeaway pizza shop that is very popular for good reason. Their pizzas here are on the thick side, they are very doughy so it feels like your actually eating something(unlike the 5 mm thick thin and crispy bases at some places). Also their dough is slightly undercooked-I know that sounds kind of gross, but it works– and it tastes great too! When I say undercooked, I mean if you look at the top of the dough, it’s kind of malleable? Anyways, who cares how it’s cooked. This is good pizza! Prices are cheap, waiting time is quick– they are always more than sufficiently staffed, and the flavor is really really good. I definitely recommend trying out papa johns if it’s local to you.
