Like any bad chef I always blame my tools for the outcome of a crappy, under-cooked meal. But because of Superchef I can no longer do that… Damn them for stocking high quality products! However they have made the job of cooking a lot easier and painfree. I didn’t realise you could cut onions practically tear-free if you have a good quality, sharp knife! They also stock a good variety of crockery and cooking utensils so even if you still screw-up dinner at least your guests will appreciate the lovely plate it came on.

Superchef Warehouse is a budding cooks paradise! What I really love is the prices. So many kitchen type stores sell kitchenware so overpriced, especially since the influx of cooking shows have made cooking so popular. No I don’t want to spend $ 200 on a pasta machine because it’s got a fricken Masterchef logo on it! I’m more than happy with my $ 10 K-Mart one! I’ve picked up plenty of bargains at Superchef Warehouse, including some really cool gadgets I didn’t even know existed. My favourite new tool is my rotary garlic mincer. Who knew mincing garlic could be so much fun! It’s also a great place to pick up some gift ideas for xmas.

As a part-time ninja I often find myself in the market for some cheap but good quality knives. Well Superchef Warehouse has provided for me on many an occasion. As an added bonus their well priced steel pots can be melted down into ninja stars with relative ease. For those of you after cooking equipment for it’s intended use there is a delectable range of cutlery, ceramic ware, wine glasses and every other imaginable kitchen item the average gourmand may desire in their kitchen.

A less than super chef needs damn good kitchenware to negate any bad culinary habits. Enter, Superchef Warehouse. Located down the popular discount end of Smith Street, Superchef Warehouse stocks a range of cookware and crockery, kitchen utensils and accessories from brands such as Baccarat, Marie Claire Paris, Arcosteel et al at discount prices. The range is small but excellent, the staff hugely knowledgable and helpful — I was given a freebie lecture on the importance of choosing just the right non-stick cookware last time I visited — and the cups, plates and cutlery on offer are cheap but very, very cool. I particularly like Superchef’s range of takeaway style ceramic cups in myriad jewel colours, reduced from around $ 10 a pop to more like $ 4 and the dizzying array of plain white plates on offer which are like manna from heaven for those slightly OCD and extremely fussy dinner service obsessives amongst us.
