I think I’ve walked past and debated getting a burrito or quesadilla here at least twenty times. It just didn’t make sense though — why is it so small and where do they cook the food? Puzzled by it I hadn’t given it a go. I decided I would stop on the way home and get some takeaway for dinner after doing a 90 minute commute down Punt Road during peak hour. Turns out they have a liquor licence — Yeeeehah! So I ordered a burrito and had a Quilmes to enjoy whilst waiting for my dinner to be cooked. I noticed the tip on Unilocal about the secret garden for this place but I couldn’t figure out how you could possibly access a secret garden from the tiny little shop? My takeaway arrived and I was just getting ready to leave when some lads came through opened a secret door in the wall! The door is covered in tins of beans. They walked through into a bar with beer on tap and apparently a lovely secret beer garden. Kinda bummed I had ordered takeaway at that moment, Holy! My takeaway Spicy chicken burrito wasn’t anywhere near as spicy as I would have hoped for BUT it was delicious. It was filled with rice, beans, guacamole and mildly spiced, well seasoned, delicious chicken pieces. It wasn’t the biggest, spiciest burrito I’ve ever had but it was good — thus the three star rating. Given it has a secret door, decent food and liquor I’ll drop past again to try another go and suggest you do too.
