The fish and chips are great, chicken burgers are even better. Just eat there, it’s great

Hmm… These new style fish & chip joints kind of give me the shits. That’s not to say I especially like the new fish & chip shop trying to do things the old fashioned way either, but who needs their greasy goods packaged in a nice, tidy, oh-​so middle-​classed cardboard box? Not me, that’s who. I want my fish & chips wrapped in newspaper like the olden days man.
Plus, I’ve been reading about the shark fishery in Australia and it’s basically fucked. And yes, fish & chip shops play a large role in the decimation of shark species in Australian waters. These guys do do a wide range of alternatives to shark (listed as flake for those of you who don’t know) and that’s a plus. But they try to fancy up a very basic deep-​fried meal as something ‘gourmet’ and when you couple that with the shark killing… It just doesn’t sit well, that’s all.
