A solid meal and impeccable service! We were greeted immediately and told we could chose a seat. We found something in the sun and our coffee orders were promptly taken. Reading the menu I was a little bored to be honest. I was taken in by the hot cakes and that’s about all, even the savoury options had me wanting more. The lunch menu actually looked much more exciting and had me wondering if they do better with main meals rather than brunch style? We decided to share the hot cakes as we weren’t too hungry. The coffee was absolute perfection and something I didn’t expect from a local café. They were slowly making up for any menu misgivings. Our hot cakes arrived(ricotta and lemon curd) and were to die for. Perfect, not too sweet and a little fresh fruit. I can now see I was being too harsh. The menu might be simple but it’s done well and done to perfection. We will be back to Andy’s but maybe next time to try lunch! Shout out to the staff — on the ball, efficient and friendly!

Andy’s place is normally pretty good but today we had terrible service. We had to ask a waitress for water three times before she actually brought it to us, and it took over twenty minutes before they even took our order on a relatively quiet day. Not impressed at all.

Andy’s never fails. Love our Sunday breakfasts. Staff are friendly and polite and service is good. Food is satisfying. Stop by it’s a nice little place.

For a long time I had been a fan of Andy’s Place, then a new café opened up the street and I started going to the competition. I still do usually, as it is a little closer to my house and the owner have me free coffee once upon a time. But, last week I called into Andy’s with a friend who was desperate for a feed of something quick and easy: Andy’s cabinet of amazing lunch options should to the trick, I thought. Disappointment as the cabinet was denuded mid-afternoon, before a two-week January closure, but elation at the selection and price of freshly prepare-able options. The menu needs to be explored if you are into anything slightly bread-based, from pizza to wraps and whatever else you can think of. Also, the best iced coffee I have had in a very long time. Probably not the best ever, but I can’t remember a better one from a café. I will return.
