Wednesday night is Queer central at the Sly Fox — talk about a bright and brilliant way to get over humpday! It always draws a crowd and makes for a super fun girls’ night out (queer or not!).

Mostly though, the Sly Fox is a pretty grungy but beloved local haunt where you can grab a quiet beer and solve the problems of the universe.

The bar staff are fantastic and can mix a mean cocktail, they have entertainment most nights and are open really late so late it’s early!

Looks like the place has changed owners yet again, we went in for karaōke last night. Pumping it was not, even at about 9.30pm… What ever happened to the queer nights on Wednesday nights? I miss those…
They didn’t do cocktails as nothing has been passed down to bar staff about this. So it was your basic drinks that were available.
Not much of a showing, small intimate crowd, my ears were bleeding by the time we left so I guess karaōke night was a success?
Not sure where it’s going to go with the new management, will be interesting to see what they make of it.

Great small pub that stays open to ungodly hours! Great stage for live music and wonderful bar staff with great atmosphere. The pool table is dodgy but still provides entertainment!

This was a surprisingly funky little place I really enjoyed chilling out in… great music, great vibe, much nicer inside than I expected. I kind of had the attitude like, ugggghhh… we’re going in here? well ok, since everything else is closed, but it was cool! I probably would have prefered to be here from the begining.

But if you’re looking for something a little less sparkly, then karaōke Fridays are probably the way to go. Personally I’d rather die a thousand deaths than get up and sing karaōke, but I have been known to suffer through a few nights ‘supporting’ friends.
Mostly though, the Sly Fox is a pretty grungy but beloved local haunt where you can grab a quiet beer and solve the problems of the universe. You can even have a good chat to the bouncer!

I’m not really one for Karaōke especially if it’s bad but the few times when I’ve come across it at the Sly Fox in Enmore, I’ve enjoyed it. A couple of times I’ve even made an effort to go there for it. There’s a few characters that run it and don’t get me wrong, you will hear some butchered versions but you might luck out like I have in the past.
Depending on when you go there are lucky door prizes and free bar snacks which come in handy if you’re making your way through the cocktail menu. Maybe that’s why I enjoy the karaōke so much. But it’s not all about the karaōke and it is a nice a dimly lit place to come in and enjoy a drink.
It’s open late and I’ve had no drama’s in the past except one night when the bouncer didn’t let me in because it was ladies night.
Perfect, I thought.
Oh, those ladies. I see!
