The waterfront version of Seven seeds. It’s basically a glass house in front of the docks with plywood benches and a few chairs inside and out. I’m sure seeds could have afforded a bit more on the fitout. They do a good job on the coffee most of the time, only a few bad coffees, which is on par for my experience at any seeds venue. Some standard although delicious cake/pastry options. Lamingtons are amazing! Wow, so good. It’s a tiny oasis in the wasteland of docklands.(I’m sure docklands will take off one day)

Me and my friend bought a Latte from this café… One of the worst coffee I have had… was really bitter and milk was not properly froth… not worth of $ 4 at all. Won’t go again.

Great coffee as you would expect from Seven Seeds, super lovely service and the opportunity to sit and drink your coffee in a beautiful, waterside greenhouse filled with plants.

Man I love the coffee here! I’m a new age, born again coffee snob. I live 10 mins from here which is awesome so I grab my cup of Joe every morning before work. I tried about 5 coffee shops in north Richmond(where my office is) before giving up and going back to what I know best! Make sure you get down there on a Saturday(not too early) morning and get the fresh doughnuts(salted caramel every time) and a long black. Great staff, decent music and a great view! Oh and amazing coffee!

This is my favourite little coffee escape. You won’t find this elsewhere and i’m always worried that as a pop-up concept, it will one day be gone. Coffee is amazing, the little selection of patisserie is pretty crazy good and staff are always friendly and accommodating. My Saturday morning go to :)

Loved this place. A bit of a wooden greenhouse on the docks of Docklands. What looks like a temporary little shack is none other than one of Melbourne’s biggest names in coffee giving us exactly what they’re known for, dat delicious nectar of heaven that we love so very, very much. I has a bit of a chat to the two guys working there before grabbing myself a geisha pourover and sitting down to enjoy the view and plants. The coffee was excellent and the best part was that it only cost me $ 3.50. Yup, that’s right, geisha pour over for less than your regular milk coffee. Hortus is also home to some excellent homemade nibbles. Almond slice. Get it. Nom Nom. Hortus. Good. Go.

Hortux x Seven Seeds is such a cool concept! I’ve previously been very critical of the whole Docklands area, as I’ve felt it can often be lifeless. But whoever had the idea to do a Seven Seeds pop-up in the middle of of the docks opposite Etihad Stadium was a genius, it exactly what it needs. It’s perfect for the area and is so well designed. On a beautiful day like the one I had it is an extremely relaxing place to go. The offerings are simple — different varieties of Seven Seeds coffees and delicious Matt Forbes pastries, and I think a small amount of fresh sandwhiches that can be toasted too. For those lucky enough to work in the area, I don’t know why you’d go anywhere else. And for those like me who are studying, making the trek there and spending and hour or two studying, it’s ace!

Harbour Esplanade has always been the dreaded wind tunnel to walk between the two main piers of Docklands, as well as home to the somewhat lonely looking Cow in a Tree. While it’s no less windy, Cow has a friend now, because Seven Seeds has moved in for 18 months to warm everyone up with a delicious cup of their famous brew. It’s convenient to the City Circle and 70 tram stops — worth jumping off if you’re making the trip around town. The space is lovely and bright — a glass house filled with plants that make use of the winter sun while remaining protected from the harsh windy climate that awaits outside. It’s a great spot to meet a friend(I wouldn’t bring a large group, but 2 – 3 seats comfortably) and I was surprised that on a Friday late morning it wasn’t busier. Personally, it would be my #1 go to any time I was in the area and it’s definitely worth the extra few blustery steps to get to. Espresso and Filter options both available, with delicious treats on offer(including Matt Forbes) checks all boxes — I hope they keep it here permanently!

If only it had been fifteen degrees warmer, not overcast and not blowing a gale this would have been the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a coffee this side of town. It’s still beautiful inside regardless away from the wind and weather. Plenty of staff to crack out brews and heaps of seating to enjoy your coffee at. It’s a completely different proposition to Traveller and Brother Baba Budan which is a compliment in itself that the same formula isn’t being replicated across all of Seven Seeds child shops. The wood hut inside the larger hut is adorable, the greenery cuts away some of the bleakness outside and breaks up the colour scheme inside somewhat too. The coffees always good and service top notch. Mark this on the map if you often wander through the Docklands or just want a completely new, refreshing meet up point for a casual coffee.

What a cool place! What seems to possibly be a pop up shop, has brought some funky seven seeds coffee to the heart of docklands! With the already known hipster trend of seven seeds comes a sister store! With a great store design and funky looking chairs and barista bench! This place is sure to impress. Not yet confirm the length of time it will be here, I assume it will be subject to it’s success! So let’s hope this one stays! Great coffee and some cakes and snacks to enjoy along side! Nice seating to view the harbour and enjoy the backdrop of the CBD view!
