Kingsway Bar and Bistro. Ticks all the boxes and then some. Attractive, well presented meals Extensive menu Well stocked dessert cabinet Streamlined service Tasty, restaurant quality meals Large servings, if that’s your thing. BIG venue yet always busy and packed Suitable for large groups or functions, Not really dinner for two, intimate dining, But well worth a visit.

The best local! Located just around the corner from us is this amazing pub offering great food and drinks. The beef cheeks and garlic prawns are to die for! There is also a TAB located in the bar area if you fancy a bit of a gamble on the dogs.

Although this is such a convenient venue because its so close to home, I rarely go. The price of meals are far too dear and the serving sizes are enormous and usually its because the protein portion of the meal is stacked on a pile of chips or mash. The service is always fast and friendly.

The staff are well presented… albiet a bit like robots… they are polite & well trained just never saw any of them smile. Food tasted so good… steak cooked to perfection & the mushroom sauce was to die for !!! Will def be going back…

I have been here many times over the last few years. It is consistent, great service and affordable. The food always taste great, comes our fast and portion size is spot on for the $$. This a is a bit more than your regular pub meal without being to upmarket. The menu is extensive and then there are the specials, the bar offers all your regulars and cocktails. There is a restaurant and a sports bar, separated by a door. The décor is modern and contributes to the great atmosphere. They offer counter service who is great for big groups, saves you splitting the bill. Couldn’t fault the establishment and ample free parking in site is just another sweet feature. If your local and you’ve never been, take the time to go. It’s worth it. I live 20 mins away and try to come often. Highly recommend it for a nice meal out but it’s a good idea to book if you can because it’s always busy.

We had lunch on a Saturday with a large table, and the restaurant was pretty quiet, which was great for us! The menu is comprehensive, with the kind of ‘something for everyone’ approach you expect in a bistro, plus more. The serving sizes were great, and the service was good too, plus they have a dessert list, dessert specials, and a great cake selection!!! I had the chef’s special lamb stack, with layers of puff pastry, lamb strips, hummus, eggplant and relish. It was fabulous, although almost too big! Finished off with an orange cake for an all round great meal, and the rest of our party all gave good reports of their meals too. Worth a look!

Pub food with a classier twist! Great mouth-watering menu. Every category to choose from if you’re in one of those moods where you don’t know what you feel like. So much choice! Went on a Tuesday night and didn’t have to make a booking. Defiantly a go to Gem!

This place was REALLY busy(it was a Sunday night) but having to make a last minute booking the guys were really accommodating. The menu is pretty extensive and has all the usual pub standards of burgers, pasta, salad, fish etc. On this occasion I ordered the seafood marinara. It was pretty good and portion size was decent(personally I would have liked more — but I was pretty hungry). I was very happy with both the meal and the service and the staff were very friendly. My only regret was that whenever I order something, I instant want what everyone else is having. Case in point: the ribs and chips! But hey, it means I need to come back again… and is that really a bad thing? Separate billing isn’t an issue because you order your meals individually up at the counter — same deal as drinks. Definitely recommend this place and definitely recommend booking(especially on weekends).

Been here a few times! The kingsway is a good local pub where they put a little bit more effort into presentation than most other pubs. Serving sizes are huge and alway taste alright. Never disapointed, you get what you expect from the venue. They have some tacky furniture but thats easily overlooked. Pricing is reasonable.

My husband and I love coming here last few times I’ve had problems with my meal, tonight is their last chance with us. If I get raw or cold food this time we won’t be back again. My husband used to love the T-bone but they took it off the menu

This place is without a doubt my favourite when I’m keen for some pub food and a good feed. On a Friday and Saturday night it does get very packed and quite loud with the number of tables they have in the venue, including outdoor seating and the occasional roars from Eagle and Dockers fans from the sports bar. Its a fun atmosphere filled with chit chat and laughter while you enjoy very generous portions of food. The menu has more than enough options from seafood to pasta to pizza to barbeque and seriously delicious paella served on a hot stone plate. A great place to go with friends and family for a casual dinner and drinks, accompanied by big meals, moderately priced drinks and friendly staff

This place is very popular. They also have a lot of tables so it gets pretty packed and noisy. You go up to order your food and it’s brought to your table so there’s no table service but the food is great. I think I’ve had steak every time I’ve been but we always go with groups and I’ve not heard any complaints about the food. You could say it’s slightly expensive considering there’s no table service. The food is good though. So for a casual night out dinner with friends or family I’d recommend it.

Went here on a Tuesday night, I made a reservation as my friend said it would be busy and true enough it was! Lucky I booked! The place was fairly packed especially on a weeknight it’s very popular. They seat you down to decide what you want and you order at the front, which is good so no worries about the awkward moments of splitting the bill haha! We ordered Garlic bread to start and for my main I ordered the WA Grilled Barramundi served on a potato rosti with tempura soft shell crab lemon hollandaise and buttered greens. When the main came out it was MASSIVE! I can’t believe how big it was but I ate it all up! It was so tasty, cooked well and presentation was amazing(see picture). The prices were reasonable and nice décor too, I will be returning back to this place for friend catch ups or family catch ups :) Thumbs up for Kingsway Bar & Bistro :)

Arrived here to catch up with a friend for dinner and have dinner. Had three staff fighting over themselves to seat us! Wouldn’t call myself a regular but nice to feel special. Love to bring people to this place to see their faces when the order comes out! I defy anyone to order to all THREE courses. Definitely big serves and presentation is always impressive. Great for two or several but make sure you book! You don’t want to be turned away! Service — tick! Food — tick Ambience — tick(if you like fairy lights!)

This is one of my favorite Pubs for dinner. The Kingsley Bar and Bistro has been my local for a couple of years now. The first thing that strikes you when you enter is the size of the dining area. It is a large space and has a huge number of tables squeezed in. The décor is well finished but it is lost in the mass of people and tables during peak times. I cannot remember anytime that I have been here that the place has not been packed. It is a good idea to book, but generally if there is only a few of you, the staff will happily squeeze you in either immediately or with a very short wait. It can be a bit noisy, but considering it is a tavern and not silver service dining it is to be expected. That said, I always love bringing friends and family here, especially if they have never been before. Considering the number of covers they would do a night, the menu is massive and on top of that, there is a substantial«specials menu» to make your selection even harder. I do have a few favorites that I often return to, but when I have explored many of the other options of the menu, I have always been very happy with every meals I have received. Importantly, even when the place is packed, my guests are always very surprised on how quick the meals come out as well as the quality, presentation and meal sizes. My recommendation — Go, enjoy and go back again… My quick list(in no particular order): * There is no table service * You will need to remember your table number when you place your orders. * Food is at the top end of price for a Tavern/Pub. * Quality of food is always very good to excellent. YUM! * They can cook a steak to order correctly.(Big thumbs up, getting overcooked steak is one of my pet peeves) * The menu selection is HUGE * There is always a large specials menu as well. * Meals are large and well presented * Service is quick and efficient * Staff are always friendly and efficient * That includes the bar staff * Can be noisy but that is because everyone seems to be happy, chatty and enjoying themselves * Drinks prices are mid to high price(still cheaper than a number of places I often go to) * There is a very good range of drinks, including wine, spirits and a large number of beers on tap * Bookings are recommended as they are always busy * They cater for booking sizes from one or two to large groups * Go once, and you will want to go again and again to work your way through the huge menu

Consistently happy with our meals here, they aren’t cheap, but I defy your average eater not to struggle 2 courses. Very much worth the cost and very little wait time(unless you really are impatient). 4th or 5th time here and I very much doubt it’ll be the last :) Please note, I am stingy with the stars and 4 stars for me is 4.5−5 for most others…

Certainly worth the trip. Unlike the first reviewer I must say the staff were incredibly polite and very on the ball. The pork belly would have to have been just as good as any I have ever had in Perth — mouthwatering — and the serving was absolutely huge! We were recommended by a family member and the night we went — a Thursday it was packed! Would go again. The decore is nothing special but the food — although a little more expensive by pub standards is worth the trip.

The first reviewer must be on something. a total opposite experience for myself and two friends. Staff were very friendly and helpful in getting a walk-in table of 3. And hows this for service = garlic bread arrived before we returned to our table after ordering drinks from the bar! All three of us chose the black angus sirloin with the creamy mushrom sauce, chips and a greek salad. We are big steak eaters and we all gave it great props, perfectly cooked, and that creamy sauce, heaven. For a wednesday night this place was absolutely packed, great atmosphere and very well maintained. They’ve got it all sorted, definantly going back to try some seafood, from what we constantly saw coming out of the kitchen, big servings and mouth watering.

This place only opened about a year ago back. I really wanted to like it as it is the closest pub to my house and I could even stagger home after a big night. But so far this place has been a real disappointment. The staff all have attitude, they don’t smile, they treat any request like you have asked them to personally donate a kidney. Maybe it’s time for someone of them to get out of the hospitality industry. This place has no atmosphere. The décor is bland. The restaurant area has tiny table and chairs all crammed in next to each other like sardines in a tin. It feels like you are having a meal with hundreds of people and I was worried that I would accidentally knock someone with my elbows as I tried to cut up my steak. The steak was 80% fat and gristle and in the end I gave up. Not very appealing at all. The chicken parma my friend tried, looked like a frozen meal from the supermarket. I won’t be coming back here any time soon.
