It’s a family kind of restaurant/​tavern. I’ve been there several times, neither the food nor the ambient impressed me. They have a 1kg ribs for $ 15 on Friday nights deal. By 8pm, the place is full with family with kids.

I went here for an anniversary with my boyfriend and was pretty disappointed with the place. We ate in the restaurant and the seat covers were all ripped up and uncomfortable and the table cloth was dirty. The interior just wasn’t appealing and there was only one other couple there even though it was a Friday night which I always think is saying something about a restaurant!
We order a bottle of wine and two mains and it was really expensive! The food was okay… but not that great and definitely not worth the price!
Won’t be going here again!

This is a good quality restaurant, great variety on the Modern Australian menu, slightly above average restaurant prices but decent servings. Mains start at $ 20, but most are priced around $ 30. For this price I think a little bit more money could be spent on the furniture, with some of the chairs being really cheap and uncomfortable. In my opinion if you’re paying over $ 30 for Moroccan chicken or salmon you should probably have a decent view or something special going on with the interior of the restaurant, which The Carine doesn’t. However the food has always been good, but I just think it’s slightly over priced for a suburb restaurant.
