Closed for good unfortunately. Would be a nice place to be on this 41° day. It made fantastic ice creams. I hear a café and barber shop are replacing it.

On a hot day happiness is an ice cream and this is the perfect place to find one after the beach. Cool, white, light and bright with blue banquette seating, Marie Antoinette café makes their own range of award-winning gelato, with flavours like pistachio, mandarin, mango, blueberry, vanilla, caramel, coconut, Nutella and chocolate to deliberate over. They also serve crepes, pastries, muffins, quiche, baguettes and macarons. A really lovely spot to rest and relax after a long day.

I don’t venture out to Cottesloe much because I’ve never had a good reason to(and its winter)! After seeing photos posted by Violet Pash on Instagram of Marie Antoinette’s beautifully constructed rose bud ice cream, I HAD to get my hands on one asap! You can probably guess, I’m a huge sucker for pretty food. Prices were quite reasonable for the amount of flavours you can have — $ 5 for 2 flavours, $ 6 for 3 flavours, and $ 7 for 4 flavours. We went for the 4 flavours option. There was about 10 or so flavours to choose from. I couldn’t get a proper photo of all the flavours because there was lots of people lining up to order before they shut shop! We chose the Nutella and coconut and Willie chose the French vanilla and raspberry yogurt. In hindsight, we should have ordered brighter flavours to make the rose look really bright and pretty. Next time! All of the flavours were creamy, smooth and not too dense — just how I like my ice cream. 1) Nutella — Mild but a good amount of Nutella flavour 2) Coconut — I couldn’t tell the difference between the coconut and the French vanilla… so yeah this wasn’t the best tasting coconut(not even close to the best) that I’ve had 3) French vanilla — creamy and not too sweet! 4) Raspberry yogurt — perfect amount of tang/tart Can’t wait to go back and try their French pastries and more ice cream flavours.

Bonjour French lovers !! As usual, looking for places where I can feel like at home, I have definitely found one… Marie Antoinette is a place where you have to try ice cream homely made by the owner who’s a French awarded«glacier». Lots of patisserie and macaroons that I don’t really suggest BUT I would advice to try the omelette and the crepes and waffles which I’m sure that they are freshly made. Coffees are nice and well made enough to go with my plate of «crêpe au chocolat» !! Miam Miam !!!

A great little patisserie and ice creamery in Cottesloe. Owner run Marie Antoinette makes beautiful little cakes, ice cream macarons(a first in Perth I believe), strong coffees, ice cream cakes and ice cream! Lovely seats outside to watch the street scene. My favourite ice cream flavour is raspberry, all natural ingredients. Takeaway cakes are available as well, I often by to surprise colleagues or friends.

MMMMM love this little hidden gem! I believe this French inspired café is actually owned by a French couple that also work in the café. I’ve only been here once but I loved it straight away! It has everything your sweet tooth desires such as cakes, macaroons, home made ice cream, crepes, milk shakes etc. I ordered a delicious chocolate ice cream macaroon which was an unusual twist on the classic macaroon. Perfect for these up coming Summer months. The place is so cute! When I was there, a group of little girls were having a tea party Birthday in a themed back room which was so cute to watch. Haven’t had time to go back yet, but it’s defiantly on my to do list to try the crepes next time!
