School holidays are fast approaching. Many parents, including myself, will be desperately looking for something to keep our little angels occupied, but without breaking the bank. I find that it is useful to have an emergency supply of new things so that if you get desperate you can pull a box out of the cupboard and get a little piece of quiet. I have found that Frendz in Clarkson has a nice range of art and craft supplies. They have a big range of things that can help keep the kiddies happy for a few minutes at least. The staff here are very busy with classes etc. But if you approach one and ask for help they are happy to. If you are an art student this place may just have what you are looking for, without having to drive down to Jacksons.

Arts and crafts has a great selection of stamps, paints, papers and everything you would need. What I like about this place is it has so many things going on. When I walked in I almost felt like I was interrupting what was going on. Truthfully the women in here were so wrapped up in what they were doing I could have pocketed a few paints. Eventually one of the ladies came up to me and explained to me about the classes which go on daily. If you want to learn some new skills or from scratch they teach card making, acrylic painting, pastels, pewter repoussé, painting classes for children, calligraphy, water colour, scrapbooking, mosaic skills and kids crafts.
