This shopping centre has it all. Now renovating with a Target being built on! All new corridor with new stores boost, riot etc. Jamaica Blue just opened up this week. Coles & Woolworths are here already along with Kmart. Located centrally so if you need a bank, library, police station, petrol station, fast food(although they have a grat food court with kids play area inside mall), car dealerships, car repair and auto stores all is close by. It’s a mini Lakeside Joondalup but I think you definitely could get everything done in one day! Located near the food court there is a small Playground. More suited for little toddlers.

If you live north of Joondalup then this is probably the your nearest bigger shopping centre. It is not as big and as busy as Joondalup, but it covers all the essentials. Ocean Keys has Coles, Woolworths and Kmart, with lots of smaller speciality shops. They also have a a few cafes such as Wendys, Gloria Jeans and Aroma Café. Just have to watch out in the carpark. Twice I have been at this shopping centre and had someone park over the line and so close to my car that I haven’t been able to open the door. I have had to climb over the passenger seat and then very carefully reverse my car out.

If you live North of Joondalup you can be pretty stuck when you need to dash to the shops for some emergency shampoo or pint of milk. But Ocean Keys is able to meet all your basic needs. It’s not a massive shopping centre but it has Woolworths, Coles and Kmart for all your necessary items, a few good cafes to grab a coffee and lunch, a few hairdressers, couple of travel agents, a chemist, some little boutiques, and what’s an aussie shopping mall without a surf shop? It doesn’t have your high street fashion shops, but everything else you’re after is here. There are a few main banks and the post office and even a larger sized Bunnings. Outside are plenty of fast food chains and restaurants to grab a quick bite to eat on the way home. And on the other side are a few more random shops, a BCF, the Whale and Ale pub and the doctor’s surgery. It may seem like there’s not a lot here, but it’s a hub of necessity and an easy place to run to when you run out of, well anything, in the middle of a party!

This is genuinely one of the best shopping centres in the far north. As we are starting to put more Northern places on the map, this could soon become a hub, if you will, for all those people living in Quinns and further. There is a great selection of places and pretty much covers any of your needs. It has all the usuals in terms of Coles, Kmart, Baker’s Delight, GJ’s but then it has some smaller places like a massage shop and a nail care shop. None of which I have tried as of yet, but I intend to. The feeling around Ocean Keys is of a little, self-sufficient village. And the quaintness is intoxicating.
