Love their Beers and Bites nights!!! Always a great fun night with awesome beer selections and well matched canapes (definitely no risk of leaving hungry!)

Saturday lunch and I even mentioned to the waitress who took our order how bazaar it was spending the better part of 20 minutes to find a parking spot in Claremont yet coming into The Claremont only to see it was empty!
She was very cool by the way!
After taking our order my wife and I sat down and found ourselves getting bored. There’s no atmosphere at all! The music was outdated but so is the pub. While all of Perth and the surrounds are «getting with the times» The Claremont is stuck in the dark ages! This is why we won’t be returning but that’s not a bad thing.
The food was great, above average of pub food, very tasty indeed. This is the most only real asset of the pub. If the chef leaves then I think these guys will struggle
It would be great to get the owners to open their eyes of their local surrounds and adapt The Claremont to reflect the area in which it lives. You can do so much better!

Was shopping with my daughter at Claremont Quarter and decided to take a break and have lunch at The Claremont. It was a beautiful day and the people sitting on the balcony looked lovely and relaxed, happy in the warmth of a sun, despite it being the middle of winter! We decided to join them and were happy as clams as we sipped on our ice cold drinks and watched the world go by!
We decided to have the fish and it proved to be delicious. It was Barramundi and we chose the beer battered option, you can request it grilled with lemon butter. It was so lovely and light and was accompanied by a delicious lemon, dill and caper aioli. There was also a seasonal salad with an incredible dressing and crispy fries. At $ 23.50 it was very reasonable for a such a generous portion. I had a glass of Anonymity Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, which was crisp, chilled and light and perfect with the fish. We enjoyed our meal so much but were much too full to try the dessert though we were sorely tempted!
The service was excellent, the waitress who served us was charming and efficient. It was such an enjoyable and relaxing dining experience, that I am already looking forward to my next visit!

They have happy hour everyday with $ 10 cocktails and $ 8 pints. I had the most delicious espresso martini ever and a lychee cocktail (tasted like a lychee mojito). Both were amazing. They have an expansive menu. Live music and both indoor and outdoor seating with super friendly staff. Love love it and is a stone throws away from Claremont station. :)

Great new menu, love the tapas items, i had the lamb shank jaffle it was delicious, and the squid was cooked to perfection

Talk about gross!
Every surface in this place is sticky, rest you hands on a table and they come off feeling slimy. Walk along and feel your feet stick to the floor etc.
No air con to speak of so the entire place is hot and horrid.
Also prefer a place where when someone is screaming in my ear I can hear them.
If your a kid that enjoys sweating a lot and dancing to crazy loud music and don’t mind overcrowding, humidity and walking out needing a shower as everything you touch is slimy and sticky feeling then this is the place for you.

The Claremont is a pub which is quite casual and friendly.
We came here for a quick drink everyone looked like they were in good spirits and having a great time! I don’t usually come to Claremont to have a drink but will have to come again to get the full Claremont experience.

Sad to say along with what like 100 name changes those fun times have gone and I make my own fun here now with friends.
The interior has finally reached a point where they have done everything they possibly could have done with it and what is there right now is generally suitable for the style now, nice lighting, simple seating, longer tables inside and not as much clutter and crap about the place. More of an up cycle feel these days style wise.
I’m sure they have some better nights than others and busier than not nights, but I attended later on a wed evening with a small bunch of guy friends after a dinner for a drink when the pub was to say the best absent of most customers.
We ordered a chivas regal on the rocks and a jug, so was glad they at least had some better than not alllll bad liquors but the guy did not even pour a full shot on the glass which watered much quicker than someone at another pub who would pour a chivas on the rocks FULL shot.
The staff, 2 of which we were served by were un inviting, blank and not what you would expect of anyone who had no customers and finally had some young pleasant folk to chat with, which we tried to do with them.
We sat close to the front door and it was rather chilly and so my friend closed the doors as all the others were closed, it was freezing and no one was clearly about to bring 20 friends in, yet without even a mention or sorry, or «would you mind if I opened one closed the other» or «can I get you another seat elsewhere» the staff member instantly walked over and re opened it with a hasty look.
Then as if we had personally pissed him off he was then rude about last drinks which he said to us then proceeded to not serve the guys and pull our table away before closing time whilst we were having a cigarette.
I know I’ll go back, but not for the service –for the location, live music and awes fact the train station is so close which is great for getting home without the taxi fare.
They had nuts on the table but we couldn’t establish if someone else bought them and left them or if the Claremont has them there as a complimentary option (this would be great if so) but we ate them either way.
They do have a menu so food is also an option if your interested.
The upstairs which I haven’t seen in awhile is great for art exhibitions and larger party groups really fun spot to be when pumping full of people.

I have been going to the Claremont since I turned 18 and have always enjoyed it there. It is a great place to catch up with a friend for a drink, or have a big group drinking session– which ever you prefer! I have had two of my birthdays here and its always good as its never overly packed so you are always going to get everyone into the pub and it has some good seating areas for big groups. Its big nights at Thursday and Sundays and they are always enjoyable for a night out– but these nights, especially in summer, do tend to get pretty busy so you want to get there early to guarantee entry. The price of the drinks is cheap compared to a lot of other places as well. I have only eaten here a couple of times but it was a few years ago and so I am not sure what the menu would be like now but it was good pub grub when I went there a few years back.

Early dinner before the Neon run on the 9^th November. Bar service was great, very friendly girls. The table service wasn’t good at all, must’ve been having a bad day or was overwhelmed by all the Neon runners taking over the place. We grabbed a table outside and enjoyed the pizzas, chips, curly fries and arancini balls.

The tapas menu is small but tasty, wasn’t at all how expected the set up to be, not nesscearily a bad thing, but I think I went at a rather quiet period for them. In saying that it was a quiet period and I feel like we waited ages to receive our meals. Not to sure about this place.

I used to love this place, but sadly it’s just not what it once was. That might have something to do with the fact I’m no longer 18 and blind drunk, but more likely that the place went through an indie/​alternative fit out phase I wasn’t into. That and they NO LONGER SELL PINTS! :/​I really hate places killing off the pint glass… or places that keep the pint glass and charge $ 10-​$ 12 for a full one of a local beer… oh and the food here is incredibly average so please don’t look to this place for a good feed.
Anyway, enough ranting, it is still my local and I will continue to drink there. But really only out of convenience more than anything else.

People who have been dragged along to the overpriced boutiques and chain stores of this suburb have long praised the Claremont as a convenient place to escape for a cheeky afternoon brew. By day, you could almost say it has a café-​style atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with a book or chatting to mates. I don’t know about your mates but mine wouldn’t be seen dead in Claremont, so that’s not really an option for me. This is particularly true at night; while on Mondays and Tuesdays this joint is perfect for a quiet meet up, this place gets way too busy on the weekend for my liking. The lack of live entertainment does little to help raise my interest in heading here.
It’s a five star venue during the day and a two star joint on weekend nights, so I’ll split the difference with my rating. Three stars.

I’ve only ever come to The Claremont for functions, I don’t imagine I’d go on my accord. It’s a pretty cool building, and the drinks are reasonably priced, but it doesn’t seem to encourage an easy, intimate catch-​up. It’s boisterous at times, and with the right mix of punters and alcohol, can get fairly lose (particularly on Friday and Saturday nights). The function space upstairs is great though, I’ve enjoyed both occasions I’ve been there and noted a much more easy-​going vibe compared to downstairs. I think this is a popular local for Western suburb peeps, it’s a fairly trendy crowd, just doesn’t quite hit the mark for me.

Every time I’ve come here and then moved onto Club Bayview, I’ve always regretted my decision. Whether this is a reflection of The Claremont’s appeal or Bayview’s vileness, is debatable. Either way my experience tells me that the Claremont is better fun than «clubba» (not a hard feat I might add).
The people who frequent are mainly western suburbs rich kids, especially on afternoons during the week where the alfresco area is occupied by uni student blokes in street ‘couture’ (I never see ladies here, they come out at night).
Overall the vibe is casual, jovial with a prick of arrogance.

The only real pub in the suburb The Claremont is a veteran establishment which has two sides to its persona.
During the day its a chilled out venue for a cheeky brew at lunch, and once 5 o’clock ticks over the after work crowd comes in pretty much every day.
The flip side of this comes on a Thursday night, and to a lesser extent Sunday sessions.
With a small dance floor downstairs (which doubles as a stage) and a larger one upstairs The Claremont cranks on these two nights.
The crowd is young western suburbs partiers, the music is surprisingly solid, mixing mainstream tunes with some more club dance and dubstep.
Great vibe and a happy crowd but boy does it need some air con upstairs.

I know the Claremont can get pretty crazy at night, but during the day it is a cool and relaxed place to grab a drink and rest your feet after hitting the shops on Bayview terrace pretty heavy!
In fact, I did just that on Saturday last week. Me and my friend started in the shops in Claremont Quarter and then made our way through the shops along Bayview Terrace. By the end of the day our feet were throbbing and our bags were heavy (although our purses lighter!). Before heading home we stopped off at The Claremont for a drink to cool down and shared a portion of wedges while sitting outside and watching the world go by. Great end to a great day!

The claremont can be mixed at best. The outdoor seating makes it perfect for a sunny Sunday drink and a basket of wedges. It is also quite good on festival days to absorb the atmosphere and listen to the bass if you are ticketless. On the other hand it can get quite messy (in the drunken, not cleanliness meaning of the word) and in a sense quite rough.
Regardless they have a busy events schedule attracting top local acts and the Tuesday night trivia remains quite popular.

Claremont is Claremont. The Claremont is cool. It exudes a cool vibe on a Sunday afternoon before Clubba (ew) and there are some really cool people around. I think it may be slightly overrated, only because I’ve been to some cooler places on a Sunday that don’t have the same rep as the «c-​mont»
I’ve been there on a Saturday night as well, which wasn’t that busy and was more of an older crowd, which I didn’t mind. But I think it would be a cool place to hang out. Personally, I would prefer to stay there rather than travel to Clubba. I like that more chilled vibe.
The drinks are reasonably priced there is a few different bars where you can try your luck to try and get a free drink from the bartender. The best bet is the bar upstairs, then, you can go outside on the balcony to have a drink overlooking the rest of Claremont.
