The Sconery

Wow. A neighborhood café run by a legit baker and they also offers baking classes?!? If your not into cooking classes, that’s fine just enjoy the fantastic and reasonably priced food here with so many options and flavors. When was the last time you had a scone? I couldn’t remember either but I knew I want those fresh ones bigger than my fist! Will definitely visit here again multiple times.

I suffer from an extremely severe allergy that to dairy. My wife and I decided to give the sconery a try after reviewing the menu and noticing they point out allergens. This is usually a good indication of a restaurant that will and can accommodate my allergy. We were absolutely shocked at the cook/​owners response to my allergy and request for recommendation of an item of the menu without dairy. He first rudely dismissed the wait staff with extremely short and unhelpful responses to their requests. I then asked for a recommendation off of their menu for something without dairy to which he rudely replied «try McDonald’s.» Mind you he never stopped what he was doing for a second to offer help… This is absolutely astonishing considering this place offers cooking lessons…
I would highly discourage individuals with allergies or people who are vegan or vegetarian to eat at this restaurant… There’s no telling what this guy actually puts in his foods or if he knows.
An immense disappointment…

Sunday breakfast is the best after a big weekend! Sauté garlic mushroom with hummus and eggs with moorish spice on sourdough, Wow what else can I say but another stellar performance!!! My friend had the quinoa, corn and zucchini fritters with spiced eggs on roasted tomatoes and sourdough which also tasted truly fantastic, will be my order next time I come.
Now to grab a cake or two and coffee to go!
Yummmmmmmmmmmm!!!

If you like scones, this place is for you.
Hand made freshly baked goodness at its best.
But also go for the coffee!
