I went to burger urge at Chermside today to try it out. The selection seemed very exciting, with menu items like the El Diablo burger (for spice fiends). So I was faced with a dilemma, what should I order? So I asked for a recommendation from my server and she suggested the ABC (Avocado, Bacon and Chicken) burger. It sounded quite nice so I went ahead and ordered it. When it came I was quite excited because the packaging was fairly unique, but the excitement was short lived, since the burger was in no way special or tasty at all. The Avocado was as hard as rock, the chicken had no flavour at all and for a burger that costs more than $ 10 I expect to taste good. I’d rather have popped over to McDonalds and gotten something bigger and let’s say tastier. For a place that specialises in burgers they need to aim far above McDonalds, but somehow they miss the level that McDonalds is at. I don’t think I’ll be going back ever again.
