This place is as adorable and sweet as Nora herself! When you enter the café, you will find a stylish, modern and unique layout, which is due to Nora’s keen eye for detail and great taste. I have yet to try to coffee or the lovely looking a la carte menu but her tarts are to die for! They have a distinct black pastry shell making them very different to other tarts. The pastry is neutral yet crunchy meaning you really taste the fillings and can eat heaps of these tarts without a deadly sugar hit half an hour later. A favourite tart flavour is very hard to choose as they are all great and immaculately presented. Pandan and coconut is lovely rich and light at the same time. Ginger crème brûlée is like a not so guilty take on Bourke street bakery’s iconic tart. Bacon and popcorn, awesome combination of candied bacon with anything sweet. And choc orange is an amazing take on a jaffa like fudge. So if you’re lucky enough to live in Melbourne, make sure to pay Nora a visit!
