For a chocolate specialty café, they make a good coffee here. In fact, they are so proud of their sweet morsels they serve them as a little extra treat on the side. It’s nice to sit outside here and watch the world go by too.

Met up with friends for coffee. Ordered the mocha with a marshmallow and churros with chocolate sauce to go. Good quality food and the to go box was cute and well made. On the pricier side but worth it to try out if you’re a traveler.

I ordered a $ 4.30 Chai latte, $ 9.50 Vegetarian wrap, and a $ 7.50 in the branch at Dickson Shop. I was hungry, so don’t judge. Then I went to the one near Canberra Centre(which apparently is the branch I am writing a review in) and ordered a Green Tea Latte. Alright, so I know Oliver Brown is basically famous for the chocolate and waffles, but I was hungry so I decided to go for other food. I love cheesecakes. I don’t know how much I am stress about that, but I love cheesecakes and I am always on the search for the best ones that can beat the one I make. This one is not the one of them. The cheesecake is very, very creamy, and has a strong milky taste, which is basically not my taste because I hate milk, and the usual slight sour and thicker taste for the cheesecake is not really apparent. Call me an asshole for being picky, but I have a high standard for cheesecakes y’all. The cookie crust for the cheesecake is also kind of overpowered by the creamy filling and kind of become non-existent. The blueberry compote is very sweet and the blueberry taste… not really there. So basically I used $ 7.50 for a cheesecake that I am not really enjoy very, very much. So. The Chai Latte, well, maybe I am used to the more stronger chai taste and the chai that I had there was not strong enough, and it is very creamy. The milk taste is pretty apparent but the thing is it overpowers the chai. Oh, and I did not realize there is some chocolate on the spoon for me to stir in. The chocolate was pretty good(Olive Brown is famous for this after all), but a bit too sweet and I personally don’t like it too sweet. Okay. The Vegetarian Wrap. To be honest, they gave me a sauce to dip with the wrap and the combination is alright, but the thing is, if I eat the wrap on its own, it is pretty dry. But it is huge, and the fillings keeps falling off and such. And the olive oil underneath and inside is like dripping EVERYWHERE. Okay, I am not that much of a messy eater, but this puts me to shame. It is not that bad with the sauce, but the whole mess is not that worth it and does not make me go ‘Ahhh I made a mess but it is fine because the awesomeness is worth the mess’. No. It does not. Plus the staff see me struggling, and did not offer any help like give me another tissue because the tissue they give me are contaminated with the blueberry compote(because they put it on the plate when giving it to me), and when I ask for a glass of water, they instruct me to go pour it myself at the back. I know it is not your job, but dear, can you see how much my hands are filled with olive oil? You would be talking about me behind my back when everything I touch went greasy. But well, I did not pour the water for myself afterwards because I had to go to the toilet to go wash the oil off and I am not feeling it. Alright. Enough of the complaint. So I got myself a Green Tea Latte the next time my friend and I went out to Canberra Centre, and it was pretty good. I really like the taste and it is not too sweet and just alright, But still it is very creamy and quite milky so yeh. Conclusion: Maybe it is a branch kind of thing? I was not having a good time in the Dickson Branch that’s all. So yeh. Maybe just go to the Canberra Centre one. Oh and order something related to chocolate. Opinion on Price: The vegetarian wrap’s taste is not that worth the price but the size is. The size is decent but well it really depends on who are you and if you enjoy the taste over all.

Best waffles in Canberra! Crispy on the outside and like a soft chocolate chip biscuit on the inside. The hot chocolate is rich and generous and the ice cream, while pretty basic, is good. Serving size is good, if not huge. The service is a little slow but quite friendly. Atmosphere is lovely and warm and while it’s in a bit of a noisy spot, it is quite conveniently located.
