They microwave everything! Ugh. Very high prices for what they make and sloooowwww service. There are better options around here. Popular with smarmy social climbers(if that’s your thing).

Quite pricey, but you are paying for the location, the reputation and the sheer quality of food. I had the bean burrito for breakfast(after a workout — justified) and it was delicious. One of those dishes(also bulging with avocado, chilli jam, and a fried egg) that I will dream about until I get the opportunity to consume it again. Come to think of it, what am I doing here on the couch in front of the Mac, when I could be there?! With such a variety of delights on offer, choosing will be the challenge.

I’m a little surprised but in the time I’ve spent in Australia, Simmone Logue has been one of my favorite breakfast joints. Why am I surprised? Its location… its in the Harris shopping plaza, mostly restaurants, I guess the anchor is the produce market. Anyway, my boyfriend and I came here for breakfast and I ordered my usual soy flat white which was perfect. Our breakfast: –Citrus poppy seed muffin to share –Mushroom and pesto brioche with feta and rocket salad –Quiche and sun dried tomato rocket salad Everything was delicious! It definitely was not the cheapest breakfast I’ve ever had… Denny’s and Ihop move over, you can spend some coin here. We spent over $ 45 just on breakfast

A chain of fine food restaurants and deli in Sydney. Wow. If everything in this shiny new café is as delicious as its breakfast — and it looks like it is — then it could make you very fat and happy indeed. Sourdough toast with avocado and lime? Or a bacon and egg roll with tomato chutney? It’s got nice courtyard seating and enough sandwiches, coffees, and sweets to satisfy any craving.

Simmone Logue declares itself(herself?) a ‘Fine Food Company.’ It/she also has a food philosophy of ‘home meal therapy’. Combine these two and you should paint a pretty accurate picture of this charming and wholesome café. It’s the new sibling to follow in the footsteps of the Double Bay original, and judging from the crowds huddled around the shabby chic tables, it’s doing very well indeed. This is a great spot to stop for coffee, or catch up for lunch with friends. There are salads, tarts(sweet and savoury) and daily specials to tempt you. You can also easily opt to buy up a meal and pass it off as your own ‘home meal therapy.‘ Thanks, Simmone!

In the relatively new Cammeray Square, or Stockland Arcade, as it is officially known, are a number of great little café’s. One such great little café is Simmone(Two M’s) Logue. One might, when told to go to Simmone Logue assume that Simmone Logue is a person, but who is she? Is she a person whom the café is named after? Or is it solely the café that is called Simmone Logue? Why wouldn’t you give a café a human name? It’s just as good a naming choice as any other kind. So Simmone is a café. A café where I went one time to get a soy cappuccino on my way to a meeting. I walked into Simmone and immediately I felt that Simmone was a sophisticated lady, sorry, café. It had a classic feel to it, a clean and modern chic. It was full of people and Simmone was serving all kinds of gourmet lunch options to the bevy of people seated within her. I ordered my cap to go and I waited. While I waited I took the opportunity to survey the room; the tables, the chairs, the waitstaff, I found Simone to be young yet elegant, comfortable and upper class. A well to do café lady indeed. The coffee was enjoyable and my time in her pleasant. Thanks Simmone, perhaps I’ll call again.

The Cammeray outpost of Simmone Logue has successfully emulated its Double Bay original with helpful servers and a convenient range of tasty pies, salads and homemade meals. You can sit down and eat there — which is a great option to grab a reliably yummy salad or something baked and a coffee on your way to the Harris Farm supermarket across the way — but the atmosphere can be a bit stressful with everyone moving about the service area to buy takeaway goods. Best to go with the flow and take home a delicious spinach and feta filo pastry pie that easily feeds four people for dinner.

Simmone Logue Café in Cammeray is a rustic style café in the Stockland centre in Cammeray. What gets me more than the ‘at home’ feel furnishings(including book/magazine case and large communal wooden tables) is the food. Homemade pies, sauces, puddings and a seasonal menu that changes every day. Try the Hummingbird cake with fresh mango and cream cheese… m mmmm! They do live up to their ‘fine food’ experience name. You can order their wholesome fresh food as takeaway if you don’t have time to make a healthy meal for the kids one evening. They also do private and corporate catering so get in there to try a few delights if you’re looking for a good caterer for your Christmas party this year. Check out the Simmone Logue website for a peak at their beautifully crafted wedding cakes. The café has hi chairs for the bubs, out door tables near the Frangipani trees of the centre’s square and pretty tasty coffee. My only ‘but’ is there’s no wifi but if you’re more in the mood for a quiet read or natter with girlfriends rather than work this will suite you to a T.
