Sydney Road– where coffee tends to be lacklustre or you have to line up or fight for a seat or deal with wankiness. This place never disappoints, and the staff are so warm, unpretentious and attentive. And they play awesome music.

Curious Goose is a curious café, unusual setting with industrial and quirky touches. Spacious and offers free upstairs function room. The café is inviting and open, and service is fast and friendly. We found the nachos and some unexpected menu items that surprised the tastebuds. I like that they have interesting flavours and out of the usual café menu. Maybe a negative quirk is no bin the toilets, yes picky I know, but I need bins and I don’t like littering.(also, have fun finding the light switch or even the actual door — don’t do what I did and opened the hot water system instead) If you’re coming with kids, ask for the kids menu sheet. Overall a friendly quiet escape from busy Sydney road.

LOVELOVE their pineapple centerpieces on our table! AWESOME! Beau makes some good lattes, peep! He was also friendly and charming! Enjoy their roasted pumpkin salad… simply delightful!

Stopped in here during the Sydney Road Music Festival. The full menu wasn’t on offer but a limited menu was. We ordered the burger and fries. Unfortunately they were not to Melbourne standards, a synthetic cardboard burger and dried up McDonald’s style French fries. Maybe this was the case due to the business of the festival, but unfortunately it left a lasting impression on us. Sorry.
