We were feeling a bit down because our favourite chinese place had recently closed down(rip darra palace) and this restaurant opened up. First feeling — not a great place for little kids… but you can go there with little kids if you would like. The owner is really pedantic on keeping the place clean and tidy which is really really good, but it also makes you afraid to make a mess. The food was really nice, but on the slightly expensive side, we ordered 2 entrees, 3 mains and paid $ 80+ for it on a Friday 2 days prior to Father’s Day… as I saw an ad on Facebook saying 10% off, book this Father’s Day weekend! But we didn’t get the 10% off as it wasn’t the Sunday exactly… which was okay I suppose(I felt the advertising was a little misleading). Our normal chinese place would have cost us closer to $ 40. Furniture looks great, chairs are really heavy to move. Not to be picky, but we ordered a $ 4 ginger beer, and they poured ½ into our glass, put the other ½ in the fridge… we weren’t too sure what was happening with the other ½ so we asked them to bring us the bottle… which they were hesitant about. Just little things, I know I am nit picking, but i’m big on having a good restaurant experience. The food was nice, a two of our dishes had the same vegies through it so they pretty much tasted the same… for the price was a bit of a let down. But it’s worth a try.
