The porridge here is excellent and the is the latte is the best I’ve ever had! And you can’t ask for better service, I mentioned to my waitress that I was only in town for the weekend and she gave me some great tips on what to do with my short time here.

Great coffee with friendly staff and prompt service. Had the haloumi stack which was delicious and very reasonably priced. Well done Babel I’m a fan!

This place is the best for breakfast. $ 15 for breakfast & coffee is fantastic. The food is fresh & delicious. The staff are all friendly and ensure you are happy with everything. This is a really relaxed and welcoming café! Definitely a must if you are in the area!

Chose this place as the number 1 ranked café in Brighton based on a recent review. Turns out, these are the people that left True Religion in Balmain earlier this year, a café I frequented with my running club every Saturday morning for 2 years. I always liked it there, and the owners were happy to help us out and look after our gear when we went running. Babel has a fresh, new fit out, great coffee and good breakfast selection at a very reasonable price. I had eggs benny, with haloumi(yum!) and we also ordered the smoked salmon scrambled eggs. Food was delicious and I couldn’t believe the bill at $ 30 — breaky and two coffees! There also seemed to be a local crowd there who were familiar with the owner. This is a real find for Brighton, you’re lucky to have a great café owner who will look after you. Go check it out! I’ll be back next time I’m in the area.

I’ve been to babel many times, it’s my favourite new café at Brighton. The service is genuinely friendly and unpretentious. Coffee is excellent. I’ve tried the full breakfast which was great, the egg panini which they’re famous for are delicious. There are a variety of options for lunch and dessert. Highly recommend.
