I think this place does nice sushi but there is nothing amazing about it. Located in the Westfield underneath the cinema, this place may make for a convenient bite before going to the movies. You can either sit in front of the sushi moving on the train and self serve or a sit down on a more private table and order from a waiter. The sushi plates range from $ 3 — $ 8 a plate. Usually you pick what you would like and the colour of the plate determines the price. For example all yellow plates are $ 3 each the red plates are $ 4 each etc.

You know what, it’s okay. It’s not the cheapest, the most delicious or even particularly popular sushi. But it’s pretty okay. They have a train as well as sit down a la carte which something I have never done at a sushi place with a train. Seriously, why would you? THERE’S A TRAIN. All of the staff are lovely, and I think it’s a pretty nice looking place. As it is located at the top of Westfields, it’s a good option for a quick bite either side of catching a movie.

Unfortunately RYU doesn’t understand sushi, or Japanese cuisine in general. Examples; — Sushi served on warm rice — Sake served hot without asking(sake is commonly room temp or chilled, hot only in the depths of icy Winter) — Serving any old sake thinking no one will notice it’s not what’s on the menu The genuine heart of sushi is the craft of great tastes, and focus on the needs of your customer, you’ll only get staff on the mobiles, lack regard for customers, and quite expensive as well. They get one star for having good fresh fish, but I won’t be back.
