Service and location are excellent, however that doesn’t make up for the quality of the food and abysmal attitude of Management. Had to reorder our steak sandwich(which could at best be described as a beef-jerky sandwich) only to replace it with a chicken burger that was grilled on an obvious dirty grill.

Really relaxing, amazing views and the T-bone steak is seriously the best I have ever tried… yum!

This experience just reminded me of being in a hostel where the staff are arrogant, don’t give a rats ass about their customers and just want to argue for the sake of it… Asked the barista if they could do a coffee frappé without sugar for health reasons(they had coffee frappé on the menu and on a chalk board) all was good. Ordered two coffee frappes and specified to the waitress«no sugar, honey or milk», she acknowledged the order. After 20 minutes(not sure why a frappé without milk/sugar/honey takes so long on a Monday lunch time with the restaurant at maybe 60% capacity, it’s only meant to be instant coffee mixed with Icy water and frothed) something resembling a milk shake is served, topped with cinnamon and sugar granules!!! tasted it in case it was fake sugar and it was as sweet a Maccas Thick Shake, and instead of being a dark instant coffee colour, it just looked like milk!!! Waited another 5 minutes for the waitress that never came back(the old leathery angry waitress), chased her down before leaving and said we can’t drink the drink as its full of sugar/milk and we find out later also honey, our parking was expiring and couldn’t waste anymore time, and we aren’t paying for the drinks as we can’t consume them and it isn’t what we ordered. Waitress demands angrily that it doesn’t have sugar/milk/honey in it «it only has cinnamon», back and forth for 30 seconds, waitress is adamant I’m wrong, barista comes out and says«the frappé has milk/sugar/honey in it», boss blames the waitress, I blame them all as the waitress was trying to make diabetics drink sugar/honey/milk in a very unprofessional tone(smart ass like), the boss says«next time order an «iced coffee» as their frappé has milk/sugar/honey in it(even though a frappé is meant to be simply instant coffee mixed with iced water and frothed up, and the customer sometimes then ads milk/sugar to it them selves if they wish). I’m not sure about the rest of their drinks and food, but their frappes aren’t frappes at all, they are MILKSHAKES or SMOOTHIES!!! Please, if you want to serve coffees and frappes, at least google how to do it first, at least call it the right name to avoid confusion, and finally get less aggressive wait staff that doesn’t just lie to people about what they are consuming, just imagine if I was a kid with a peanut allergy and you serve them peanuts and promise the parents there isn’t any peanut in the food… If the waitress or the boss just said«I’m sorry for the mix up» instead of blaming me for their stupid wrong name of their product and the waitress lying about what was in my so called«frappé», all would have been ok and I would have just left it as a mistake that didn’t need to be reviewed on social media… Mistakes will happen, but blaming the customer for something that wasn’t my mistake is pretty poor form…

Looking for somewhere to whet that appetite of yours after a morning in the sun in the most popular beach in Sydney can be daunting at best. Keeping walking though, and you’ll find somewhere that can solve all of your woes. Next door to Bondi Ink on Campbell Parade, the Lamrock Café has a very relaxed atmosphere which wraps you up like a cool hug on a warm day. You instantly feel like part of the family as the staff(a Greek family) welcome you, and seat you promptly. The service was rough around the edges, but that’s ok, because it was made up for by the excellent food. One mistake was made with my drink order, and fixed promptly with a smile. The roast pumpkin salad(with or without chicken) is divine, and a must try. The pumpkin is gently spiced and roasted(with cumin I think), and it’s sweet and delicious. The Caesar salad(also with chicken) was also amazing. Made with eggs that were poached, and then chilled to harden made an interesting twist. The bacon was done to a turn; the croutons were crunchy and delicious, and the dressing was full on lemony goodness. Sure, you’ve got more pubs and cafes galore along Campbell Pde than you can poke a stick at, but I think this place should be at the top of anyone’s must-try list.

Very friendly service, yummy food with generous serves and a top view! Our server I’m guessing the owner when asked if we could have extra large soft drinks after coming back from a 14 km training walk upsized them into milk shake cups. They checked how the food was and cleared our table in a timely fashion. Great relaxing experience

A really cute spot with a gorgeous view of Bondi Beach. My Aussie cousins took me here for breakfast, I had the bacon & eggs with hashbrowns. The bacon is definitely better than the typical bacon in the states. Great service from our sweet happy waitress. I would definitely come back… oh, and the mocha was GOOD!

Love this place. The veggie breakfast with a beach view is a fantastic way to start the morning in Bondi.

Incredibly underwhelming. That’s the best way to describe this experience. Though it was packed when we sat down(at 3pm on a Tuesday) it had slowed down significantly since we had been here. We ordered pancakes and a burger, and we’re still waiting for our food after over 30 minutes. Meals finally came out… I ordered pancakes with lemon and sugar — two small pancakes with two slices of lemon and some powered sugar — for like $ 13?!? What?!? It was like I was being serviced a piece of fish with two lemons. To add to the taste, pretty sure the pancakes were cooked on the grill with some fish or something. Thanks but no thanks. Not worth the wait or the money. Service was fine, but everything else was not.

Best view with your meal with brilliant food. Clean, tidy, good quality, great attention for details, friendly and positive staff. We had the fish and chips and the veggie panini. The fish came baked and perfectly low fat, the veggie sandwich was light as the clouds. Great cup of coffee and I’m extremely happy with this meal, first decent bite I had since I have arrived here. Come here for an all day breakfast or a meal, don’t think twice.

You’ve been backpacking, right? Good. Think back to how fun the kitchen staff was at each of the hostels. How eating your meals together around shabby, wooden tables with cheap Italian wine and compelling conversation were some of your best memories. How the meals were simple, but the people were so friendly and open and you were so happy to be home and warm that somehow it was some of the most delicious and certainly affordable food on your entire journey.(Note: If these were *not* some of your fondest memories, but rather some of your most disgusting, you might want to skip this review and move on.) This, in the best way possible, is how I felt when eating at the new-ish take on the Lamrock Café. Outside of the sweeping views, there was nothing fancy about the place or the food. You can expect to have your order taken by three different people, only to have two different people bring your order and bus your table. But everyone was so friendly, the service(although confusing) was quick, and the food was simple, affordable and exactly what you need for a relaxing day at the beach.
