Fantastic breakfast spot! A friend took me here after we’d done to the coogee to bondi walk. It was very busy on a sunny Saturday about 1030am. But the coffee and food were well worth the wait! So great coffee! And an amazing breakfast — I had the«rolled» egg with black beans, avocado, tomato, chorizo and coriander and it was sensational!!! My friend had the sourdough with an egg and tahini and avocado which looked sensational. Will be coming back here!!! If you like my review I would love it if you would follow my blog on

The lady serving with blonde hair and piercings is lovely, warm and a reason to return. The coffee took way to long and was made by your typical ‘to cool for school’ barista who made little effort to acknowledge me beyond stating the coffee he’d just made. Well done on your coffee making skills bro but your service skills need a review. Now to the food, Stop! Do not pass go, do not collect $ 200. Your off to jail people! Your bacon and egg roll was over/under cooked fussy version of a classic. Sure there was bacon and egg but bacon as dry as a leather belt! The egg so undercooked it was busted over the paper rather than in the roll and the roll was perfect for making breadcrumbs. I felt the amount of rocket and tomato(3 thick slices) was too much! Call me old fashioned but when there is bloody flowers in the salad on your bacon and egg roll you have to say enough is enough! It’s time to simplify Harry. Some things don’t need to be changed.

Really yummy food. Lovely atmosphere and good service. The latte I had could’ve been stronger:(But was beautifully made. I’d go again for the food and ask for a stronger coffee.

Love this café! Just down the street from where I live. Tons of locals hang out here. It can get quite packed! So be prepared to wait a bit especially from 10 – 2. But they usually bring out coffee quickly. I haven’t had the chance to eat a real meal here yet. But I’m dying to try it. I have had the lemon cronut. It was actually really good, flaky, not too sweet as I thought it would be, tastes like real lemons nothing artificial. I also had the mixed nut and chocolate chip cookie, they’re healthy and they taste it. Haha. It wasn’t my favorite thing. But to each their own

Banana bread is delicious! Great quality food, nice tea selection, and very friendly staff. Not an exhaustive menu, but I like that. They keep it delish and simple. Love the vibe. Would be a regular here if I lived in Bondi!

Super cool little espresso bar at the northern end of bondi beach. The cold drip was as smooth as it gets whilst the couple of piccolos we ordered were well prepared and presented. Worth dropping in if you love sipping on a kick ass latte under the sun

Best coffee in Bondi — back from the beach so mostly a locals place.

In a sea of hairy things in and around Bondi Beach(said«things» are usually accompanied by large men wearing small speedos), Harry’s is the bright light you want to run toward. Squeezing up delicious fresh juice and offering the absolute best gluten-free cookies I’ve ever guiltily taken big bites of before bringing home to the person who actually needs them(need being the operative word there), Harry’s is a perfect spot to sneak away to during that lovely mid-arvo lull. If it were 1998, I might even call it chill. But since it’s 2012, I wouldn’t dare. For being what I’d consider more of a swing-by, grab a milk crate-outside-if-you’re-sticking-around type of joint, the menu is surprisingly robust with some solid sandwiches and a range of simple, yet beautiful brekkie items.(The bircher and salmon bagel were the two standouts on my recent visit.)

After more than a handful of visits to Harry’s Espresso it’s really started to occur to me that the lack of bitterness in the coffee has been well accounted for by the service of the staff. While the coffee and sandwiches at Harry’s are both admittedly really quite good, both my friends and I have had several bad experiences with regular long standing staff that have really put us off coming back. My house mate stood in front of the counter waiting to order while a guy who seemed to be a manager or the owner walked in front of her to lean on the counter and start talking to the server behind the counter for several minutes about what stock needed to be ordered and replaced. Another time a friend of mine made an honest mistake when ordering something and the server rudely muttered a profanity about my friend under his breath in front of her. Despite being a hop, skip and a jump away from my home, the decent(and slightly over priced) coffee and food($ 5 for a small muffin!) is far out weighed by the BAD attitude of staff. If you need me, I’ll be walking out of my way further down the road and around the corner to get my coffee from Earth Food on Gould st where the staff know how to smile.

One of the beautiful thing about Bondi Beach is if you’re a local you tend to turn the place into more of a village than a tourist haven… for me Harry’s Espresso Bar has been a regular stopover when I’ve met up with friends for an early morning walk… I’ve always liked the coffee, but today I discovered there’s more than just charm that makes this place so special. When Harry created an Espresso Bar, he took the role of being a Barista very seriously — committed to making the best coffee in Sydney. The bi-product is a man who buys 70kg of coffee a week and also spends hours and hours meticulously cleaning his machines to ensure YOU get the best cup of coffee possible. He also regularly changed the grinding mechanism so the beans give you their fullest flavours. This is a man committed — and you’re lucky to be the recipients of his passion… now the question you might be asking is — how do I know this… simple, I happened to be there when he was cleaning his machine… I assumed he was doing maintenance, but when we started chatting I discovered a true connoisseur… this truly is hidden gem worth discovering… everyone deserves a coffee made with so much love and dedication!

Harry’s is a self-professed espresso bar, but for me the big drawcard here is the awesome sandwiches. It’s pretty much all they do, but they do them well — if you can dodge the gaggles of kids stopping in for a latte with mum on their way to the primary school nearby, try the bacon and soft poached egg sandwich with roasted tomatoes on Iggy’s soy and linseed sourdough for brekkie. Service is always fast so it’s a good place to grab a sandwich for lunch(the New York Pastrami with horseradish, cornichons and tomatoes gets my vote) and a coffee to go on the way to work. If you’re hanging around, it gets a bit chilly in winter as the coffee service area is always open to the street, but there’s also plenty of bench seating inside.
