I love this place! Little local hole in the wall in North Bondi with great coffee and yummy morning treats. They make a great bircher muesli and my all time fav is the green eggs with spinach, hard boiled egg, avacado, fresh tomatoes, pesto and homemade chutney — and only $ 6! Delicious. It’s a treat to start my day off by grabbing something from Bru Coffee.

Get in early if you want food. It’s tasty and it sells out quick. Bagel sandwiches, acai bowls and daily specials. The boys make a good coffee too. Get some takeaway and watch the world go by on one of the best beaches in the world.

It’s tough to figure out how this blink-and-you’ll-miss-it hole in the wall oozes as much charm as it does, but it’s undeniable. Don’t believe me? Just pop by any time of the day and witness for yourself the masses of locals (a healthy mix of beautiful Bondi people, yummy mummies, free spirited «I’m not a hipster» hipsters and athletic types who make lycra look fabulous) who seem to be in a constant holding pattern around the open-​faced shopfront.
Know what else it’s brimming with? Fantastic take-​away sandwiches (the tuna is extra-​special) croissants, muesli pots, and other sweet and savoury treats. Oh, and charm. Have I mentioned that yet? Top all that with a super friendly staff and I guess it’s no mystery at all. Grab a blanket and a square of free sunshine and join the neighbourhood revolution.

If you’re a fan of Byron Bay, and feel it necessary to sit on the curve, nestled under the shadow of a bungalow tree, with a bright green blanket, then Bru café has won you over already.
Just a short stroll up from Bondi Beach, away from the hustle of the touristy scene, Bru delights locals with classy coffee, sassy art, often by Aquabumps, and sexy locals.
The good looking bar staff are a bit obsessed with the bur, and all things «Bruing», plus they put on a mean breakie, to fill the gut after a wild surf. If you’re slowly waking up to the world from THAT sort of night, there is unmistakable certainly that the creative owners will be able to whip you up a healthy and hearty concoction (either blended) or of the solid food variation, off the menu.
