The springs tavern has great food, good price and very nice atmosphere, servicing sizes were great and the staff are really nice, although I’ve gone here multiple times, the problem I always have, ALWAYS, is food takes far too long I’m not just talking like 15 – 20 minutes, I’m talking 30 minutes to 45 minutes to an hour, it’s seriously terrible, I keep coming back expecting for the wait time to improve but never does.

Generous servings — the Parmi was huge (but delicious)
Garlic bread was nicely cooked — not too dry.
The cocktail of the week — the drunken sailor, sounded tempting enough to try, but was a little too strong, unless you like that much syrup.
Live music was a nice edition, acoustics weren’t great at first but as the night progressed it got better
Saturday night happy hour at 8 is also a nice touch

As one of our local Taverns we have been here a few times before just for drinks and we sat out in the beer garden. However today decided to stay and order a meal.
We ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and the Calamari Salad which was very delicious along with a bottle of white wine.
The Tavern had a modern atmosphere and was very quite for a 4pm on a Wednesday which we like. However we can hear the kitchen people banging around I guess getting things ready for later?
Though we really enjoyed our meals it would be nice to see some tasting platters on the menu.

Local pubs are just the greatest. They are a real study of the human condition. Springs tavern in Bennet Springs is a cross-​section of the finest that the area has to offer. You will often find my aunt ordering drink in a slurred speech and struggling to make it back to her table due to wobbly leg syndrome or as I call it– being shitfaced.
it’s a decent feed, it isn’t overly costly and there is no pretence like at a lot of places. You could rock up in thongs and you wouldn’t be judged as you would be if you did this in a bar on Beaufort street.
