Must be the Scorchers winning @cricket, but I was feeling nostalgic. And lazy. So f+c it was. And being out of practice with a good one(the local is now a block of flats) went to Unilocal for inspiration. And not let down. Clean shop, tasty well cooked fish, good size portions. They also do salads and other non fish stuff. Will be back, but not for a while. Remembering why f+c hasn’t been on the playlist for a while #guiltypleasure.

Les poison les poison hee hee hee hon hon hon. Love it when your local fish and chip shop is delicious. Everything always tastes fresh and the chips are always crisp and delicious. The dim sims are yummy too. The goods are almost approaching greasy, but I mean come on, it is deep fried. Note their hours are 5 – 8 from Tues-Sun. Only 3 hours a night… That in itself is statement enough of how busy they are. Yet it’s never a huge wait. We will continue to go back and I suggest you do the same.

I have only ordered fish and chips once from here, I just couldn’t go back especially knowing the fact that one of Perth’s best fish and chip shops is just around the corner. The fish was sloppy and the chips undercooked, but you do get a massive portion of chips. I may have ordered on an off night, it was a weekend so they may have been too busy to cook it correctly. The service was fast and relatively friendly.

I love the look of this fish and chip shop. All green and white and minimalist in design, it doesn’t even want a brand name! Indeed, it’s one of the neatest places I have ordered takeaway from. And the takeaway is very good. Delicious flaky fish in batter that’s never greasy. Nor is their battered fish too crispy that you’re worried about breaking a tooth. The chips are delish, too, and sometimes I call an order in 10 minutes ahead, walk over to collect it, and walk home having relished every delicious chippie by the time I hit the door.
