Balmain has an interesting mixture of style. With shops to suit the tastes of you, your mother and your grandmother, you might find yourself trolling Darling Street for a little while before finding something you that aligns with your personal flair. I would classify Sofia Londero as styling for the young, hip and somewhat funky. Taking a browse inside, I was immediately drawn to the tops and dresses created by the Desigual. This label uses bright colors and patchwork textiles to create collage-type scenery on the garments. If you’re looking for a statement piece, this might be exactly what you need. Mixed in amongst the frocks, skirts and blouses were jeans by True Religion and a great cargo shorts line by Z Brand. I am usually not a huge fan of cargo shorts(I mean, who really makes use of ALL those pockets??), but these are cute and classy. What’s more, the same pair is available in about 5 jewel-tone hues. If you’re looking for something for the season– maybe an outfit for an afternoon picnic or a day of barefoot lawn bowls– I suggest seeing if the lovely ladies in Sofia Londero can’t sort you out. At the very least, I’m sure you’ll find something small to put the«summer» back in your step.
