My most fave indian restaurant in Brissy. We go here regularly. I’ve been to India and it’s still my fave!

I like Kanta’s Curry Place because it is a family owned and run business. They do this out of a love for food and you can tell. While waiting for my meal, Kanta’s husband explained to me how his wife does all the cooking and that they opened the store as a labour of love. This being said, I can understand why the prices are a little on the expensive side compared to other Indian restaurants around. I highly recommend opting for the $ 25 Banquet special. You get a vegetable samosa and tandoori chicken as appetisers, one main meal, bread, papadum, rice, raita and chutney. Well worth the money since you will probably pay close to $ 20 for a main on its own. If you get take-away the will often trow in some rice for free as well. This place is quiet and I rarely see anyone dine in but you can tell the service is good but the amount of regulars that keep coming back for more of Kanta’s curries.
