I used go there very often but food and services gone down hill about a year ago. Every now and then I try but hasn’t improved greatly.

Me and my partner have been regulars at Clover for the past few months. The food is consistently delicious and yummy! Brunch needs eggs and Clover has a nice range from baked to benedict, but don’t discount the French toast which is probably healthier than a regular French toast but just as delicious ;) Overall Clover doesn’t have impressive fancy dishes — missing that to get a 5! What it has is nice comfortable food :)

This review is based on two things. 1 the coffee &2 the service and ambience First up the venue looks great from the outside but within looks tired and in need of some synchronization. It’s evident this is a hotchpotch of styles from the previous owners to the current The coffee was okay but not great(I really don’t expect great coffee from Adore coffee) pic a little bit in the strong, bland and hot side but didn’t have bitterness I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but it also wasn’t a total disaster. With a little bit of sprucing and some live this place could be a winner

Never come back again. It was very good at both coffee and hotpot breakfast, but now… Service is slow, bad coffee.

SomethingI love to do is eat, okay let me expand on that. Something I love to do is eat out. Dinner, lunch, brunch and breakfast! Moving into an apartment without a fridge isn’t very convenient. But it has been for me the past couple of mornings :) As I checked out breakfast spots around my apartment I found that there was a restaurant called Clover in Annandale. Annandale is a really cute neighborhood of Sydney. Its quite high up and you can see a lot of the city. I have been primarily eating eggs so this is what I wanted. What they are famous for are the Hot Egg Bakes. I ordered the vegetarian which was a yummy, piping hot order of eggs, red peppers, mushrooms and this delicious tomato sauce. You get to lap it up with garlicky toast, and an iced coffee on the side. Be careful though, the portions are rather large! But how darling it was to be served on a cutting board. It also reminded me of the Tunisian dish — ShakShuka, which I have prepared in the past. If an egg bake is not on your breakfast menu, Clover also offers a large array of iced drinks including smoothies and a pretty great menu which has options for veggies. I can’t wait to go back

Cute little café with great vibe. Good classic breakfast selections and also house specials –the eggs on clover are a winner and so is the coffee. The staff are the best! Very friendly, attentive and great customer service. One of my favorite cafés amongst the lot in Annandale.

Super busy on a Sunday arvo. Extremely eclectic, cute interior. Loved the big rustic wooden tables. The woman who was clearly the boss/manager was reprimanding her staff who seemed to be a little clueless. We only had takeaway coffees, which were average. Sad face.

Very tasty fresh food(& heaps of gluten free options), great ambiance, and — save for one time when we were forgotten, very friendly and attentive service. There is seating inside and out(sheltered pavement on street side), both of which are pleasant. Highly recommended.

Great coffee and food but the service is inconsistent. The staff aren’t always focused and seem unable to make small talk and engage with customers. And only accepting cash these days is ridiculous, even if there is an ATM across the road. A bit more customer service and this place would rock.

Nice spot for breakfast — I am a fan of the french toast and the baked eggs. The bacon and egg roll is excellent for a hangover! Sadly the coffee is a bit hit and miss(sometimes fantastic, sometimes ordinary) so the hunt for the perfect brunch spot continues …

Been going to Clover since it opened — great coffee and the service on the weekdays is great as well. Can be hit and miss on the weekends, but only due to busyness. Can get your normal pastries, and some bread selections as well have recently appeared. Food is wholesome and tasty, average serving size. Will regularly go for coffee.

Clover Café in Annandale shows all the signs of being the younger sibling of its Glebe predecessor, Clipper. The décor are similar, with long wooden benches/apothecary cabinets mounted on walls, and a cutesy«look at the café I made at school today» feel about it. The menu shares Clipper’s highlights, with its baked egg dishes and my favourite, the poached eggs with pesto, pecorino and mushrooms. The coffee is on par with Clipper’s, and Clover seems just as popular with its Annandale locals as Clipper is in Glebe. It also has one other tell-tale sign that it is the younger sibling of a success story — it will forever be compared to its older sibling.
Clover is cosier than clipper, and is in a quieter location with much more convenient parking than that of Glebe Point Road. And yet, whilst Clover is a nice place to go for breakfast any day of the week, and whilst it continues to hold a place in our list of hot-spots, it is slowly sinking to the bottom of that list. The service is not as great as it once was, and a few too many mistakes with food orders mean that their reliability is dwindling. In saying that, last time I coffee-d there, customer feedback forms were scattered on the tables, a sign that management is keen to restore Clover to its former glory. As a younger sibling myself, I’m looking forward to their comeback.

We usually meet up in the city or the east and are familiar with the cafés out that way, but our friend suggested that we meet in Annandale. Curious we took Victoria Road past Bicentennial Park to Clover. We noticed the yellow(we love the colour yellow) arch painted over the window(from the inside) and the cute décor made for a warm atmosphere. The busy café was bustling with couples, families and friends gathering for their Saturday morning breakfast. We were able to squeeze in at the community table(it lines one side of the café) and ordered. The service was prompt and the staff was very friendly. They were busy, but were able to handle it all with pleasant efficiency. They have a good number of vegetarian options and I loved the baked eggs with mushroom, capsicum and feta cheese. The coffee was great and they also have a variety of fresh juices and smoothies(we saw a couple that the group next to us ordered). Our overall breakfast experience here at Clover was fantastic and we will be back(maybe before or after we stop off at the Orange Grove Farmers Market).
