Just had a good lunch there. The food is simple, healthy, and tasty, and it’s super cheap. I got(I can’t remember the name exactly) rice with veges, kimchi, and a fried egg on it, and after mixing it produces such great taste that what I wanna do is to complete quickly without even talking to my friend next to me. It’s just opposite to the gate of central market, so should be quite easy to find. Good place for a quick and nutritious lunch!

Simple, cheap and yummy lunch time fare. Currently tucking into a green pancake and some gorgeously marinated chicken thigh fillets all for a measly $ 7. The marinade is in fact sooooo good that Sunmi now sells it separately to her many fans. Other specialities include sushi, cold rolls and an array of lovingly prepared Korean dishes. Get some in you!

This is one of those gems that you return to time and time again. The food in the bain Marie is fresh and regularly replenished, mainly as they sell out so fast. The chicken thighs, an outrageous $ 2 each are drenched in a gorgeous teriyaki sauce that you could drink on its own without any shame. The cold rolls, $ 4 a pack are a decent fresh snack and for something heartier there is a decent hot menu, cooked fresh from the teeny weeny kitchen with delights like bulgogi and bibimbap. The dumpling soup is worth a look too.

Been coming here for years, Sun Mi introduced me to the complexities of kimchi and fresh flavours of Korean food. Great prices and always friendly. Try the hot stone Bibimbap, very warming in winter especially with lots of Korean chilli sauce!

I just stopped by the Markets for a cheap and healthy lunch to take back to the office — I’ve been past this place so many times, so thought I’d better have a closer look. I had beef cold rolls(pack of 3 with sauce) for only $ 4 — seriously, they were the best and freshest cold rolls I have tasted! I will definitely be going back to try the chicken and vegetarian, as well as those mung bean pancakes … mmmm! Much better for takeaway(as there are only a few seats at the counter), with plenty of healthy choices.

Sun mi’s sushi is delicious. And cheap. I frequent the joint for $ 3 cold rolls and the $ 2 Mung bean pancake which fill me up nicely. The staff are friendly and the location means its easy if you’re in a hurry and need to escape the markets quickly! Ask for extra cold roll sauce as it is delicious. Om nom.

I haven’t really tried much Korean food before, but I was pleasantly surprised with what I got at Sun Mi Sushi. I didn’t realise for quite a while that Sun Mi served Korean food, I thought it was just another sushi place. I ordered the bibimbap which I understand is something of a specialty. It is quite a crazy dish but tastes really good. Well worth checking out.

Sunmi’s does cheap korean style food with a few popular extras. That’s right… the Koreans do sushi too! Sunmi’s does fresh and that deep fried kind also… they have cold rolls and a couple of soups, specialty teas and delicious marinated BBQ chicken pieces which you can buy as a deliciously carnivorous snack. It’s a tiny corner store in the Adelaide central markets(the north-east corner). They’re open tueday to saturday for lunch and friday evening for dinner. There are a few stools pulled up to the counter on 2 sides of the stall which I love to use when I’m lunching solo. If you need a little more space, the market provides nearby tables and chairs for general use, which are great as long as the weather isn’t too chilly, as they are close to one of the grote street entrances to the Markets, brrr.

I’m a regular at Sun Mi’s, mainly for the chicken fillets and rice with the special sauce that’s on the sweet side but strangely addictive. The vegetarian pancakes are great. There is also sushi and a selection of veg and non-veg cold rolls. The dipping sauce is a mixture of soy and something less salty so it doesn’t swamp the taste of the sushi. The soups are also great. Next time you are in the bustle of the Central Market try Sun Mi’s with it’s friendly service and good food.

Amongst the hustle and bustle of the Central Market arcade lies an unassuming Korean food stall: Sun Mi’s Sushi! They have never failed to serve me delicious Korean food and drinks. The service is also great and efficient. Located adjacent to the Yoghurt Shop, Sun Mi’s has a range of hot food and sushi choices you can pick and choose from in the displays, or order main meals from the menu on the wall. I always get the Bulgogi from the menu, with a side of green vegetable pancakes from the hot food counter. These savoury pancakes are vegetarian, tasty, and go well as a side. There are also delicious chicken wings — my boyfriend’s favourite choice from the hot food counter. The Bulgogi just comes with steamed rice, so simple yet so yummy! A range of sushi is also available but I have never tried any so I can’t comment on the taste, as I come for the hot food! The seating is a bit of a hassle for me though. You sit at the counter, on bar stools. There are only about 8 stools so you can imagine what it’s like over lunch time. Well, takeaway is available, and I see a lot of people just stopping by for sushi or vegie pancakes. Also, the prices are very affordable considering Korean food is sometimes a bit on the higher pricing end. Another plus!
