Very authentic. Very good. Excellent kimchi. I’ve spent a lot of time in Seoul and this is the closest thing I’ve found. A new regular now!

I’m a part time ESL teacher, so I get to hear about some of the most authentic eateries in the state. I have a Korean student who absolutely raves about this place. He says it’s the most authentic Korean restaurant in Adelaide that puts all the others to shame. Well, not in so many words(English isn’t his first language remember), but it’s more than implied. Anyway, I had to try this place out after his strong recommendations and wow, just wow. Each table in the restaurant has a little grill burner type things in the middle of it. When cooking in it this can generate a bit of heat which in summer is a bit of an issue, but the food is so completely worth it. This is South Korean food at its finest. The meat is wonderful and the meal as a whole really lives up to its mouthwatering appearance. The only problem with the place is that it’s hidden behind Her Majesty’s Theatre rather than as a part of the Central Market itself. Forget what I’m saying though. According to my student there are only 2000 – 3000 Koreans in Adelaide, and they all love this place. That in itself should be enough to convince you to try it out.
