I’ve been here twice now and have had a yiros and beer combo both times. The prices are a bit higher than your Yannis or Yiros house, but the whole setup is a bit classier. The guy who runs this place is more like your trusty bartender but in place of cocktails there are custom yiros’ with names like the«Pablo», the«Dave» and many more. I assume these are named after friends or regular customers. The only thing missing from the menu was chips, but maybe I’m a bit too much of a commoner in my tastes and expectations. Great yiros and worth a visit.

Really love this spot, never disappoints. I’m not sure if it’s the sauce or the fresh ingredients. or a mix of both — either way I have never had a better yiros. I wish I came past here more often as I would otherwise frequently come here. East end yiros is the first place I think of when I want a tasty yiros in the city.

Great tasting yiros is a must for anyone looking to have a night out and look for a yiros to eat. Fully flavoured and nice beer selection which is perfect in the Adelaide summer

Introspection goes a long way. When you wake up and realize that there is a little shop in the East End corner that never lets you down, that puts a smile on your face. and that sometimes — sometimes — you crave the endorphin release that these yiros provide… It is as good as it gets!

Damn tasty! This is really lovely spot, it really should get more love. In fact, I plan to return a lot to show them more love. First thing to love about East End Yiros is the restaurant. It’s not big downstairs, but it is double story. Upstairs is really cosy with a few tables and chairs set up for small groups. Get a table near the window and enjoy the view of Grenfell Street. If you want some fresh air, there are tables outside on the street as well. So never fear. If you want a good quality yiros, you have picked the right place. The Yiros bread is really fluffy unlike others I have tried. Really tasty bread coupled with well seasoned meat(lamb, chicken, pork shaslic, pork sausage). One thing I did notice is that there was no rotisserie? So, I guess the meat is prepared in a different way. The yiros was a good size with a great helping of veggies & garlic sauce. Paired with a beer or wine for $ 18 is a bargain!

A bit of a new taste to the old Favourite. East End Yiros is a licensed small eatery up(as the name says) in the East End are of Adelaide, Situated on Grenfell St. I popped in for a quick work lunch and had the basic«Combo Yiros» it came out hot and fresh with deliciously seasoned(not quite the usual Yiros flavour) Lamb and Chicken, with sim finely sliced onion, chunkily sliced tomato and topped with gourmet lettuce and Garlic Sauce. It was very tasty and worth a go. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, there are plenty of other options, including some for those vegetarians amongst you. The staff were pleasant. It’s not large so there’s limited indoor and outdoor seating

A fancy yiros bar??? Well I never! East End Yiros is like a high end yiros bar but without the high end price! You can pull up a chair here, sit up-stairs and enjoy the nice little seated area without feeling like you’re in a seedy late night establishment — a real winner! I’ve been here a couple of times now and the food and service have only got better — the plates are no longer the kind your grandma would have in her old kitchen but funky new wooden board, for instance. The yiros is great but if you feel like eating something a little more involved, go for one of the plates — they’re all good and you certainly can’t go wrong! Imported beers are $ 6 too — a great reason to sit down, eat and have a drink at the same time, rather than running off into the night with your Yiros in tow!

I’m not sure whether it’s a 4 star or 3 star, but it gotta start somewhere. Yes, it’s a benchmark. Never tried Yiros before, someone recommended it on word of mouth and there i am trying out my first yiros after years in Adelaide. My first experience — A bad one. For lunch today I order a Combo yiros. A combination of lamb and chicken. The rest of the fillings to the pita bread are lettuce, tomatoes, onions and sauce. I was told that it is garlic sauce, but somehow it taste a bit like yogurt. :p The yiros tasted not bad. Not that I tried any before, but what I will say is that the fillings are fresh enough, the sauce not too heavy, and i must really say I like the lamb, which is juicy and flavour is rich. The chicken on the other hand, is a dry and bland for my taste. Oh yeah, must have confuse ya with the 4 star rating and the«bad experience» I mentioned. White sleeves and dripped yiros sauce don’t mix well. Darn. Next!

Hello East End Yiros. Thank you for making me a vegetarian yiros that changed my yiros eating life forever. And that wasn’t the three dirty martinis talking either. I had the mungbean felafel yiros and everything about it was just better than any yiros that came before it — good quality ingredients, skilful cooking and care. The my partner in crime had the chicken, and I have a feeling we will be travelling to East End Yiros from anywhere in Adelaide just to get a fix. These guys were born yiros.

New kid in the ‘Yiros Game’ that pack a good punch of flavour filled yiros that’ll make those garlic taste buds at bay. Order up a Chicken, Lamb, or Chicken Lamb combo all for ten dollars a pop. Great taste and beautifully… shredded. A great price that comparable to the burritos pricing at Zamberos. I had a four bean salad there, each bean was better than the last and there were surprisingly more than just four.

East End Yiros is a new addition to Adelaide’s family of kebab shops. They opened a few months ago to little fanfare, but are building a steady following for their fine yiroses(yiri?). A newly opened business has to strive to set themselves apart from and rise above the competition, and in the already saturated market of kebab shops, that’s a tough thing to do. East End manages to pull it off though. Their kebabs are the best I’ve had in the city centre. There’s some pretty suspicious shaved meats on the night strips in Adelaide, but East End Yiros are a clean and solid establishment. You might even call this ‘gourmet yiros’. The sauces and ingredients here are high quality, and most importantly, the meat is cooked and seasoned properly. Catering for vegetarians is the mung bean yiros, which I stoutly recommend. Tasty, fresh made salads are available, and you can also pick up combination packs of shasliks and other stuff off the grill for a few extra bucks. The price is a little more than what you’re likely to find in kebab shops on Hindley and Rundle, and it’s not on the track between many popular bars, but the quality of tucker here makes up for it.
