The food was way too spicy for my liking, but I believe it was authentic food. There may have been mild options on the menu though, I’m not quite sure but I probably wouldn’t go back. The menu was an iPad with a lot of Chinese rather than English. I recommend this restaurant for people who love Sichuan cuisine, or who are true fans of spicy food!

Are you cold and hungry? If so China Chilli and their all you can eat hot pot is the place for you! It can get pretty busy here, but the hostess will let you know approximately how long a table will be and will give you a phone call when it is ready. Also, the do have a rather loosely controlled time limit of 90 minutes for your all you can eat meal. Now, China Chilli is not for the faint-hearted, it is spicy. Both times we have been there we have gone for the«half and half» hot pot, which is half spicy Szechuan and half of a «white» non-spicy soup. The ordering system is a little different, your table gets an iPad(which is picture based, though features very minimal English) and you order your meat, vegetables, soy products etc through this. The table has a gas burner in the centre and the waiter puts your pot in the centre, then once you’ve got your extras it’s up to you to cook it without scalding yourself! It is pretty fun and entertaining. There is a ‘wall’ of sauces and fresh herbs you can add together to make your own dipping sauce(complete with MSG powder if that is what you really feel like!!) and they can be a great addition to your meal. Beware of the Szechuan soup it has a great flavour but it also has many large chillies in it, so if this isn’t your thing the«white» soup may be preferred. Service is limited here, as I mentioned it does get busy and they run on minimal staff. Getting someones attention to order more food can be difficult, however once you get someones attention they are very attentive. They have very cheap all you can drink soft drinks too, and good cheap pots of green tea. All in all, a decent group meal out! Especially if you are looking for something a little different coming into the colder months.

Feel like something spicy, Well you can’t go wrong here. As the name implies, Chilli is used extensively, creating very nice Szechuan Cuisine. There are also ‘mild’ options available for those you take along that don’t want the heat. The ordering system is a little odd(a single tablet per table, and a lot written in Chinese.(if you go in a big group, you’ll need to ask for more menus. All the dishes we tried were very nice. Looking forward to going there in Winter and trying their Chilli Hot Pot.

I am a huge lover of spicy food so when this heavily Szechuan influenced restaurant opened I got excited. I got even more excited when I saw people lining up on a few occasions. The décor is very oriental, when we went in it was packed out. There is a lady at the front so do wait there to be seated. Since it was full she took our number and said she would call as soon as a table was available. We were lucky enough to get a call in 15 minutes but I like that service because we don’t have to hang around like flies outside the front door watching other people eat. The menu is an iPad! Pictures of all the dishes for easy ordering, a staff member will show you how to use it. Trouble is though, while the menu has English the finalizing order part is completely in Chinese so get a staff member to help you with changing to multiple quantities of items like rice or drinks and subsequently submit the order for you. I found the staff friendly and helpful tonight even though it was very busy. Now down to the food, it’s spicy. I would guesstimate 85% of the menu is spicy. They mark varying levels of spiciness with 1,2 or 3 chillies. We had the Ma Po bean curd and Shredded Pork with pickled vegetable and black fungus(it really is tastier than it sounds). I loved both dishes, the pork is mildly spicy while the tofu had more of a kick to it. The fragrance, flavours, spices and chilli with that wok fried«chi» made it a delicious dinner! I’m definitely coming back
