I’m a bit clueless as to where I would some Japanese food in the CBD and stumbled across Café Delore’s. They make a pretty decent kastsu chicken, and the portion was quite large. It came with a nice serving of steamed rice, a bowl of miso soup, the katsu chicken and a serving of cabbage(or something similar) I think. The staff are quiet but friendly and polite. A nice quiet corner to have lunch in.

23÷1÷2012 Photos It was one of the hottest days of the year so far today, and I was dying in thirst. Enter Café Delore’s and her icy strawberry milkshake. The owner telling me that they were still open despite the intense heat, I voted to sit inside with the air-con and was surprised by the fact that I was the one and only customer on a Monday afternoon. The owner has put up a sign saying that you have to collect your drinks at the cash register(I assume my milkshake wouldn’t be brought out to me like a typical coffee shop would), but also watched the owner create that milkshake. The menu provides almost everything: coffee, drinks, breakfast, lunches, chicken schnitzel, roast, hot dogs are all popular hits here. The strawberry milkshake included ice, which made it more colder than the usual milshake(yes!). *This is a necessity for Unilocaling in a hot & sweaty summer day in Adelaide.* The owner told me that business hasn’t been going very well for her recently, because of the recession, but I can only guess how many customers must come here earlier in the day. Can we really blame the recession for all our financial woes? Maybe?
