I used to spend countless weekends at this place, shooting up my buddies in virtual warzones. Though I don’t really have the time to indulge in mindless violence so much anymore, Aztec will always be one of my favourite places to go when I’m in need of a quick virtual deathmatch. The hardware on these computers are grade-A: great monitors, excellent graphics cards, and of course, reliable mouses and keyboards! Playing games on these machines is a breeze, and any time an error occurs someone is quick to find a solution. The software installed on these computers also tells you how long you’ve been online, and warns you when you’re about to run out of time — so you can run to the counter and buy more credit before you get booted from a round of kicking your friends arses!

I used to have nonstop access to an awesome gaming PC whenever I wanted it, but then I took an arrow to the knee. Nah, seriously, I still have access to an awesome gaming PC. My own. But when I’m travelilng, it’s not easy to pack it up and set it up in hotel rooms. So if I’ve been away from home for a few weeks, this place has helped satisfy my cravings for a bit of gaming. The machines are pretty good, really. For systems used and abused by hundreds of people, they’re pretty spectacular, really. If you just want to browse and check your email, that’s fine too, but my guess is that most of the clientele have their own smartphones for doing that sort of thing. I’m bound to be back again very soon.

Gamers, like ancient tribes, are all about separation. One way they split themselves is over their machine: are they a console gamer or a PC gamer? There are hybrids, sure, but those are rare. The console players have a gay old time and swear by the controller, but anyone who’s tried competitive gaming on a PC knows the thumbstick cannot match the speed and accuracy of the mouse. Furthermore, the PC will always have the superior graphics. So it may seem, then, that the computer is the obvious choice. The catch, however, is in the expense. And that’s where Aztec comes in. If you want to experience PC gaming but have not the finance, Aztec is where you want to go. It’s full of super powered computers, and they’re all loaded with the latest and greatest games to play. And it’s not just for the hardcore, ladies and gentleman. Another way gamers split themselves is over their dedication: are they hardcore or casual? A place like Aztec seems targeted toward the hardcore gamer, but that’s a misconception. The real nerds, geeks and fanboys have all the equipment they need at home. Aztec is for the casual gamer who spends hard-earned money on other things, but enjoys the occasional stay in a virtual wonderland. Aztec’s even fit for the newbie, who’ll experience a majestic revelation if they’re accustomed to the real world, where explosions are not a common occurrence, and where there’s no such thing as fairies…(egad! Sorry, Tinker Bell!)
