Waggin’ West Kennels And Grooming Center

They are super sweet! Brought in my baby pug Luna for her second nail trim the other day, they welcomed her with open arms and even took some cute pictures for their Facebook page. They are quick and know how to handle my puppy with care

The staff here are friendly, knowledgeable, and the rates are very fair. They didn’t even mind when we called daily to check on our fur baby, and encouraged bringing her dog bed with her. They treat you like family.

Had a wonderful experience with these folks! I called, said I was a visitor, and asked if they could get my dog in, but I only had a couple of days.
They said to bring her in, and they would work her in. When I got there, we had an in-​depth conversation about what I wanted, and she said they would be done 4 hours later. She was done on time, with a great cut and a reasonable price! Will be using them again!

Took my girls (G & K, chocolate Labs) here based off the Unilocal reviews and I have NO regrets! The staff is friendly and sweet. Especially the groomer who obviously (based on how great they looked) worked so hard to beautify them. I will definitely bring them back the next time we’re in town.

I was taking my dogs to PetsMart for grooming. After the last time, with the $ 100.00+ bill and some issues with their «grooming» style, I decided to find a new groomer. I just happened to find Waggin West while trying to find another business. Before I made an appointment, I was actually able to speak to the groomer and see their facilities which was a big plus! When I brought them in for grooming, I explained that they both had VERY dry skin and my oldest dog needed heavy de-​sheddign. Honestly, I was skeptical when I left because every groomer, especially PetsMart, would say they would «de-​shed» him but he would be hairier then when he went in! When I came to pick them up, they were both IMMACULATE. My oldest was TOTALLY de-​shedded. I was floored! And the price is about $ 50.00 cheaper than PetsMart! It’s been a week and the dogs are still shed-​free! I have decided to make this our new grooming salon for as long as we are in Yuma!

My boyfriend and I boarded our dog there yesterday while we went over to Mexico for the day. I chose this business based on reviews from Unilocal.Excellent place and will be patronizing them again next time we are in the Yuma area! Very clean and the staff was very friendly as well!

I boarded my two small dogs at waggin west for 10 days. I’ve had bad experiences in the past with other kennels so I was so nervous about how this would go for my two fur babies. The owners of waggin west was extremely welcoming and showed me around. I called every day to check on the dogs and they always assured me my dogs were doing great and even eating! After the 10 days I picked up two very happy and active dogs. I could immediately tell they was well taken care of and gave lots of attention. It wasn’t cheap but well worth it knowing my dogs were happy and healthy for 10 days!

Had a family emergency arise and with a not-​yet-​housebroken puppy weighing over 35lbs I was going crazy trying to find her a home she could stay at. Called several places in town that wanted crazy, what I like to call «inconvenience fees,» and most simply didn’t answer their phones. Eventually I found my way to this business using the phone book and it was a breath of fresh air.
Their telephone customer service was excellent, the lady I spoke with deemed very knowledgeable, friendly and trustworthy. She accepted my puppy during non-​business hours without any hassle. When I arrived to their business, their storefront was very tidy and well organized. I was surprised to see all the products they carry vs the big chain stores. The couple that greeted me were amiable and knew well how to handle my pup to her boarding pen. They walked me through their facility to see how she would be taken cared of. It was relieving to see ALL kennels, every single one, was CLEAN. No pee, no poop in any animal pen, it didn’t even stink. They have temperature control with A/​Cs and swamp coolers, there weren’t any pesky flies and the pen my pup was placed had it’s own private run to the outside.
When I returned I was glad to see she was as clean as I left her, her blanket was slightly dirty (paw prints from the run), her toy was still squeaking in her mouth. She was wagging her tail happy to see me. Her kennel was clean, no messy water spills, food, pee, poo anywhere. Just her clean water bowl. I had left them feeding schedule instructions and they followed suit.
Very pleased with this business and I would most definitely recommend them and take any of my dogs back there again.

I spend 6 months in yuma, and 6 months in Illinois. I have my black chow named Bear groomed about every 6 to 8 weeks, and waggin west does the best job of any ihave found, here or in Illinois. cost is the same as at home. Waggin west does a great job and the people that own it are very pleasant as are their employees.
