Went here on a recommendation from my sister-​in-​law. Tara, my stylist, was simply fabulous. My hair was an overgrown, frizzy, dry, tri-​colored mess. She gave me a fabulous cut, and I am still swooning over the mahogany, copper and violet custom color blend. She made sure my grays were well-​covered, tinted my eyebrows and was such a nice gal to talk to. And the price was fantastic, given what she had to work with! I will gladly return!

Seriously this is the best salon in town. Marcy Mays is hands down the best stylist and her specialty is color. Althea and Tara are great too!

Maybe their nail services are good. I wouldn’t know. This review is for their customer service or the lack of it. Walked in for two manicures and awkwardly stood in the door way with no one trying to help me or even acknowledging me in any way for quite a few minutes. Finally a lady came over without greeting us or smiling or acting friendly in anyway, and asked if we were waiting for someone specific. I told her we were walk-​ins and for whatever reason she didn’t understand that concept. Yet the sign on the door says appointments only on Monday, and it is not Monday. After another awkward exchange of conversation where I tried to explain what a walk-​in was. The manicurist who was with a client decided talking to us across the room was a good option and told us to go to a different nail salon. Great business practice? I’ve never been to a place that turns away paying customers.

Love Althea, she has doing my hair for many years and always does a wonderful job. All the ladies working there are very nice and the shop is beautiful!

I have been going to Althea for many years and couldn’t be happier. If I could give her 10 stars I would. I pretty much just tell her do anything she wants and she takes 10 years off. The cut and color is always exactly what I want. Althea is the best!

My hair stylist moved to another state after going too her for nine years! Finely I got lucky after three months, and found Marcy, through a lady that goes to the same nail shop I go too. I loved her hair style, and ask who did her hair, so now Marcy is doing my hair. I agree Marcy is the best.

Love this place! Marcy is the best (: I moved all the way to Sacramento and still go to Yuba City to get my hair done! She rocks!
