The Music Lab was created to provide an environment where potential could be realized, cultivated, and ultimately, dreams could be fulfilled. The Music Lab School of Modern music operates on diverse levels. Our students range from ages 6 to 86. Whether your style is Jazz, Blues, Country, Rock, Gospel, or Classical, this is the place that will make it happen. Now Servicing Band Instrument Repairs.

The Music Lab offers classes in acoustic/​electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, voice, violin, woodwinds, saxophone, banjo, mandolin and many more. As well as, courses in songwriting and recording. Some students may be eligible to receive credits toward graduation. Our teaching staff consists of a group of highly skilled, college educated individuals with various degrees. They are fun, friendly and creative in their teaching methods. They work at the students skill and pace level to develop their talent and meet their individual needs.

History

Established in 1990.

the music lab began in 1990 in santa ana ca next to the guitar center on main st. and stay there for 3 years. then move to placentia ca and stay there for 3 years. then made yorba linda ca there home base… and has been there for over 20 years .the music lab is now a real classic music school. now over… 25 years old… we have seen kids come to the music lab .and then they come back with there kids. we have made tons of friends for life… this is the place to be… we have now seen over 20 thousand people. so come on in for a free lesson… thank you victor delgado ceo.

We needed help with my daughters violin that wasnt making any sound. Victor, the owner, helped us figure out what was wrong with it. He was very patient and even though we didnt purchase the violin there he was happy to help. I will be back here with any of our future music needs :)

I have been taking guitar classes with Randy Chambers for the past 4 weeks and I have learned so much!!!
I would recommend Randy to anyone who wants to learn guitar at a good pace.
I signed up for the school of rock classes which are a lot of fun and you get to play together with other students.
Call Victor to see when the next school of rock classes begin.

If ur curious to what the pulse of rock and roll sounds like, this store is a portal to that world. I came here to pick up some guitar lessons, and I gotta say my search is over. These guys have that intangible love for music aware of the balance for the science and art. They listen to music differently, and it shows when they start talking. I wish there were 6 stars to rate this place; I’m excited for what I’ll learn here.
I also bought a guitar here, I think it’s worth shopping for stuff if ur looking for something that a beginner could buy.

My son attends the music lab for guitar lessons & some drum lessons. My son’s instructor Brian, is not only funny but patient as well. Brian had my son create a music binder, assigned him homework and every time they met, they’d go over the homework & learn new things. I’m very satisfied with Brian’s instruction techniques & the overall service of this place. You can purchase guitars and many other things especially Fender stuff. The price of the music lessons is very reasonable, cost of instruments is also great. I highly recommend the music lab & I will continue to have my son go here. If you have children that wish to learn an instrument, these people genuinely care about their students.

My daughter has been a student with Jan Stephens for the past 4 years. She has been wonderful at teaching my daughter not just how to play the keyboard but how to really feel the music she plays. My daughter likes how versatile Ms. Jan is with old school and new music. She has a natural teaching style.
My daughter loves going to her weekly sessions.

I walked in to find some info on guitar lessons after seeing an ad in a mailer to the house. I have visited before and the place is very interesting. The showroom, seems very intimate sort of like a living room. There are nice decorations, star photos, guitars and drums displayed around the room. The amount of guitars has decreased as it has become difficult to compete with the internet and the box stores. Many come here for the music lessons. I am planning on taking guitar lessons here. I can across a box and everything inside was one dollar each. My best buy was a Fender guitar tuner for a buck!

Jan Stephens teaches piano and beginning voice lessons there. She is, like the rest of her colleagues, knowledgeable and professional, patient and giving.

Our son has been a student at the Music Lab for a couple of years now, first learning guitar with Scott, now doing drums with Ray. I have been grateful and can’t say enough about the patience of these two teachers with our son. I requested at the beginning that our son be allowed to progress at his own speed and not be pushed, and was very well accommodated. Yet I have no doubt that both these teachers could create an outstanding musician out of their students who want to work very hard and progress quickly, too.
The place just has a «cool» vibe to it and it’s fun to look around. The waiting area has comfortable couches, but you’re welcome to go into your child’s lesson as well.
Great experience, and we will continue.

I always wondered how this place stayed in business. Now I know. When my 5th Grader needed an instrument for band, he told me all the Lakeview students go there. We originally bought a used trumpet elsewhere but it was poor quality and one of the keys were broken. Victor the owner, tried to fix it for us. After inspecting it, he explained why it was not worth it replacing the part. We ended up renting an American made trumpet for $ 20 a month. He taught my son how to care for it and we walked out happy customers. No wonder they have been in business for 20 years, just good old customer service!
