Circle of Friends Veterinary Hospital

Both the veterinarians (Dr. Russo and the other gal, sorry I don’t remember her name) are very knowledgeable and genuinely care about animals. They get down on the floor every time we come in for a visit, whether it be an ear infection or another reason. They always talk to Maddie like she is their friend and they just both really care about their patients. I like that they take a culture of ear sample and test it before assuming it’s bacterial vs. fungal. In most cases for my dog, it’s always been the latter because of her Golden Doodle floppy ears. When she was a puppy (she is almost 5 now), I took her to a few other vets who would just look at her ear and treat it without testing to see they type of infection it was. That obviously never resolved her infections until I went to Circle of Friends. Unfortunately, sometimes you don’t know a good vet from a bad one until you finally experience a good one like the vets her at C of F! It’s a bit far of a drive for me from Fullerton, but worth it. The staff there is friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend this vet over others.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Yasso for more then 10 years. I found her through Orange County German Shepherd Rescue.
She has so much heart and empathy for our Fur-​Persons! Who doesn’t love a Vet who sits on the floor with her patients! My newest Rescue loves her too!
I would highly recommend her to all my friends and family!

Dr. Yasso is by far the best. She is really passionate about animals. I went to her after Yorba regional hospital butchered my little Yorkie. And she knows what she’s talking about unlike Yorba Regional hospital.

Dr. Yasso is by far the best veterinarian we have ever visited. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

We have been so pleased with the care our cats have received here. The staff is friendly and attentive. I cannot say enough nice things about Dr.Yasso. I agree with all the other positive reviews in that she has an excellent bedside manner. She is definitely an animal whisperer. I had to take my cat in and he was terrified but was calm while Dr. Yasso examined him. It put me at ease knowing that he was in good hands. She only wants the best for her patients and is not pushy. I will only take my cats to her.

Dr. Yasso and her staff are amazing! I took both of my labs here for many years. Dr. Yasso is extremely caring, gentle and just an all around amazing woman. She gets down on the ground with the dogs, gives them affection and my dogs just absolutely loved her. The staff are just as caring and amazing as Dr Yasso. Everyone seems to love your pet, just as much as you do. Also, she never pushes to do unnecessary tests, treatments, etc. She will only recommend what is absolutely necessary.

What a wonderful place filled with professional staff. I’m now taking all my pets to this Veterinary Hospital.

I cannot say enough good things about Circle of Friends and Dr. Yasso. I have been taking pets here for over 10 years and she is by far the best vet I’ve ever seen. First off, she’s like an animal whisperer and so thorough. Animals are just drawn to her and so calm around her, so she is always able to do a very comprehensive exam. Sniffing ears and checking each part of them. She is also so honest and straightforward.
Recently, my doxie started exhibiting some strange symptoms, I was so worried, I took him to an emergency vet over night. They wanted to charge me over $ 400 for labs and X-​rays, but when I found out they didn’t think he had anything life threatening, I decided to wait on testing until I could see Dr. Yasso. She saw him the next morning and through her physical exam could tell he had just strained a muscle in his back. No expensive tests or labs, just reassurance and some pain meds! As a worried owner, I would have paid whatever she asked.
I recommend Dr. Yasso to everyone, even though she’s a 30 minute drive from me, she is worth it! She will take great care of your pet and she is very reasonably priced!

We have been going to Circle of Friends for about 2 years now. We were looking for a new vet because we had concerns about our dog’s health (he is diabetic and our former vet seemed to be «guessing» on amounts of insulin and treatments for him). We asked many friends for recommendations because we were not satisfied with our former vet. Many, many people suggested CoF and Dr. Alison Yasso and we have been so pleased we made the change!
To start with, Dr. Yasso is very kind, patient and works with each client/​animal to their specific needs. In a short time, with a few tests (and not too much cost), it was determined that our dog was getting 2 – 3 times more insulin than he needed (and would have been dead soon if it continued). We made the adjustments, and he has been doing great ever since!
Recently, we had to take our other dog in to Dr. Yasso. He was almost 17 years old and it was, sadly, his time. CoF got us in quickly, and Dr. Yasso and her staff were sensitive, compassionate and caring to both our dog and us. We were with our dog the entire time, and Alison explained everything that would be done. She gave of as much time as we wanted/​needed before, during and after his passing. It was a sad, but peaceful process that was handled with such kindness.
We highly recommend Circle of Friends to you and yours!

This is an amazing vet, I have been taking my dogs here (I’ve got 8 now) for over 12 years, I can not recommend them enough. Dr. Yasso is one of kind in the way she communicates to both the owner and the animals, was a little worried when she was gone and had a different doctor but she was amazing too.
We love our dogs and feel there is no better place for them to go when they need a Doctor. Btw the staff is always great too so kind and helpful!

I had a bad experience with a vet when I first got my puppy, but I didn’t realize just how terrible that vet was until I came to circle of friends and saw what a real quality veterinarian treatment is like!
Dr. Yasso is the best caregiver I have had the pleasure of encountering ! She treats every per like her own, and gives them the utmost attention and best treatment possible. I highly recommend bringing your pet here, because Dr. Yasso is the best!

Great service! I just got my foster greyhound (from GreySave) neutered + dental’d here today + had a great experience. Cheers to this vet for donating their time + skill to animal rescue.

I am with a Los Angeles & Orange County Cat Rescue Organization. I took three five-​week old kittens in to Circle of Friends today to be examined for severe diarrhea problems. This is a 14 mile drive for me one-​way, but I was so delighted with their staff, the care and genuine concern for the animals that I would gladly drive there again. They performed an in-​house microscopic fecal exam, as well as sending out for a full panel of lab tests. All of these charges for this examination and lab work were well below industry pricing. They even gave the kitttens baths when then got some of their poop on their feet and tails. Not many vets would show that much love and concern for their patients. I would highly recommend Circle of Friends.

We’ve been pet owners for over 20 years and have been to numerous vets. We had almost given up on finding one we actually could trust… and then one of our neighbors told us about Circle of Friends. Best vet ever! They genuinely care about our dogs and everyone working there is patient and kind. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Yasso!!! She has GREAT bedside manner, is very thorough and does not sell you on things your pet does not need!!! She has always been more than fair about pricing with us as well. We have 2 dogs, an 11 year old Pit/​American Bulldog mix and a 2 year old Pit mix and I would not trust them with anyone else! We have had awful experiences at other vets with them saying my older dog needing surgery in his mouth for some bumps, luckily I took him to Dr. Yasso for a second opinion only to find out that those bumps are simply from chewing on his Kong and would have been a complete waste of money and stress on me and my poor older dog!!! If your looking for a good, HONEST vet… Dr. Yasso is it!!!

I am not a big fan of vets because I always feel like they are trying to sell me on expensive treatments and products. On the referrals of a few friends, I took my 12 year old dog in to see Dr. Yasso. I was so impressed with her demeanor with me, my son and my dog. She is straight forward and makes recommendations without selling. Her prices were more than fair and her staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great experience Dr. Yasso.

I was referred here by a friend once I got my jack russell. Dr. yasso/​staff have made me and bailey feel welcome and taken care of. All I want is great care for my little guy and thats the service I get. Great bed side manners and we are always in and out too which is a plus for me since i always have something going on. Thank you COFVH for taking care of my little guy…

There are so many positive things to say about Dr. Yasso and the staff at Circle of Friends, it’s hard to know where to begin. I have been taking my pets to Dr. Yasso since shortly after they opened their doors, a dozen years or so ago. I would not think of taking my pets any where else. The staff is professional yet compassionate at the same time. They are attentive and explain every detail to every procedure. They make a great effort to accomodate each client. Dr. Yasso is booked up in advance so plan ahead. However, emergencies will be fit in to their busy schedule. This animal hospital deserves a Star onthe Hollywood Walk of Fame!
