I’m not your average person and I’m willing to work on my car myself, but when my clutch went in my 02 Toyota Camry I went to about 10 different places asked around and even contemplated doing the clutch myself until, I watched how hard it is and time consuming it would be on YouTube. I found this guy on Unilocal and he lived up to the hype. Was the most honest and reasonable person with the price and he was only about 2min from where I live. Happy I finally found a good mechanic for the job that are too tough for your average joe.

Before I even got to this store I called them twice, first to set up an appointment, and second to make sure there was an appointment made and they didn’t even remember making an appointment so I made another they were rude and not helpful at all over the phone basically saying to come in for an estimate
Come in with the car, they do not have me down for an appointment of course, I bring the bumper and headlights I wanted replaced in the car and even with my own parts they estimate $ 950 are you kidding? they would have probably charged even more had I gone through with it they were not attentive to the car at all and would rather pay attention to other customers
this place is a joke and gets more hype than its worth, 1 star

Best Mechanic!!! Definitely recommended. You get treated like its a big dealership. I recently went there because my car was making noise and I was worried. Tim (the owner) checked my car and gave me his honest opinion instead of telling me to give me $ 300 and I can fix that like other mechanics. He was really busy but he still checked my car and didn’t charge me a penny.
I’m a college student and can’t afford a brand new car so I bought a used car and it’s a lemon (too many problems). I don’t know anything about cars and I hope Tim open a used car dealership so people like me can buy a used car without getting scammed.

If I could I would give 100 stars, I am happy I found this place. I went to another place for annual inspection they wanted to change all the parts of my car which would cost me more than $ 600. Here I passed only with $ 37.

Recently had my brakes (pads/​rotors) serviced here for my Acura MDX. As a first time customer, I was treated like VIP. Staff answered all my questions and kept me updated as the mechanics worked on my car. Brakes felt great after breaking them in (pun intended). Fairly priced. Job well done! There is no doubt I will be coming back here with my Acura TL. Highly recommend!

I drive from Putnam County to go to Master Mechanix! No one but Master Mechanix can touch my cars and the only reason my Mercedes has 280K miles on it is because of the TLC it receives at Master Mechanix. Worth the drive – don’t go to anyone else!

Grateful, impressed, ecstatic, relieved… these are the few emotions I experienced when I drove off from Master Mechanics. From the moment I went for the estimate until my keys were handed back to me, the experience was the most comfortable I’ve ever had when dealing my vehicles. Everyone was super knowledgeable, friendly and caring. The owner was extremely helpful and clear. Everything promised was delivered and then some… they went above and beyond repairing the vihicular love tap I received. Nothing was overlooked and they even addressed issues I didn’t mention. I am extremely grateful to have had Master Mechanix help me through this process. They do more than just body work so I will be going to them for all of my car needs.

I first learned about Master Mechanix when I was new to Westchester and buying a used car. Somebody recommended them to check out the car prior to purchasing. It was right in the middle of Hurricane Sandy and Tim and his staff were awesome. He gave me a very detailed report on the vehicle and didn’t charge a penny. I ended up buying the car (no regrets) and taking it to Master Mechanix for all of the service. I’ve always had positive experiences, though sometimes the wait time is really long, but that’s because they’re doing a thorough job!
I’m finally bothering to write this review, though, because of my most recent positive experience. On Monday morning (my birthday no less!) I got in the car and the brakes wouldn’t work right. I blew right through the first stop sign! I was totally freaked out and my boyfriend offered to drive the car to the nearest mechanic, 4 blocks away (the brakes worked if you pumped them). That mechanic kept the car for the day and said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the brakes and that he drove the car on the Saw Mill and didn’t feel a problem. I picked it up the next day, drove 1 block to work, and immediately turned around and put the car in the driveway. The brakes were definitely not right! Off to Tim we went! He spent an entire day looking at the car and said the brakes did look completely normal and in good condition. However, he drove the car and agreed that there was definitely something wrong. He kept the car another 2 days, found the problem, did a number of other necessary repairs (oil change, inspection, headlight bulb, etc), and the car is driving just fine.
Thank goodness for a good, honest mechanic!

We started our Thanksgiving trip driving through three feet of water, the engine light came on and our Brooklyn mechanic recommended stopping at Master Mechanix. Tim saw us immediately and checked us out, giving us the green light to forge on! We traveled 420 miles without any issues.

This is the best choice you can make to bring your car. I had an issue (or so I thought) and had allocated about $ 300 – 400 to spend on it. When I arrived we drove around to see if he could pinpoint the issue and told me that it was just an issue of it being an old car. Sears auto body had told us that we needed something replaced, which is why I had money set aside. I was told nothing was wrong, and left happy, with a full wallet, and trust in the fact that my car was working. He put me at ease and treated me with respect and didn’t just try to empty my wallet for useless repairs. As a young college student who knows nothing about cars this could not be more appreciated. I would recommend this place to anybody and everybody.

As others have mentioned: the owner is knowledgeable, kind and will tell you up front he will only do what is necessary — and not try and do as much as possible to get as much money as possible. We brought in a 2009 Subaru Forester for its 30,000 mile check-​up (a major one) — cost at the Subaru Dealer would have been $ 650.oo…at Master Mechanix it came to $ 250 which included an oil change (synthetic oil; roughly $ 70)…the repair shop refused to change brake fluid because after looking at our brake pads (and driving the car) — there was no need for the pads (and fluid) to be changed (we do lots of highway driving); also our spark plugs were still fine… so no change needed there (so immediately we saved $ 100 off the price we were quoted over the phone). All in all this was such a wonderful experience — anyone who runs a business — in any field — should be as knowledgeable, kind, honest and hardworking as this shop. Two anecdotes: when I look up and see a nun from the nearby Catholic School bringing in the van for work — and being greeted by her first name (Sister Mary) — I am impressed… and while there at least five people came in to have their cars worked on — and they were all greeted by first name… with everyone smiling. People in the neighborhood trust this guy… I would especially recommend this shop to women — very respectful men here who will take their time explaining to you why you might need (or might not need) a certain repair… they will not try and give you an aggressive «sell» — but will give you advice on how to avoid and decline such hard sells by other shops… I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Best mechanics ever! Very friendly and explain everything (in terms you can understand!). Reasonable and don’t try to rip you off. My family and I have been going to them for years and we’ve never had anything but amazing service.

On a great recommendation, I have been getting my Audi serviced by Tim for about 7 years. He is extremely knowlegable, honest, doesnt try to talk me into unnecessary repairs. How many people ever say that a mechanic is honest???
They are very accomodating too. I cant get home from work in time and they will let me pick it up after hours. Just make sure you call for an appointment!

These guys saved me from buying a real lemon, and they didn’t even charge me to look at the vehicle. Thanks so much. When I do find that right car, I am bringing it to these guys for maintenance.

On a great tip from a friend, I checked out Master Mechanix for the first time about 2 years ago. Best mechanic tip I ever received. I bring my car here for everything.
The word must be getting around, as this garage is always jumpin! Better to call in advance and make sure they can take you.
Tim, who runs the show, is THE MAN. Always honest, never tries to run up your bill with unneeded services. Always gives you fair and realistic estimates as to length of service and cost.
How many people can say they TRUST their mechanic? Not many, but everyone who comes here can say it with confidence.
I heartily recommend this place to anyone.

Awesome service people were great and got me a tire and fixed me up right away in and out within 30 mins.

Even though I moved an hour north of Yonkers, I still bring my Subaru here for all maintenance and repairs. I went in for my 100,000 mile maintenance this week. I had just been told by Midas that I needed all new belts, new tires, alignment, struts, etc. etc. etc. Tim at Master Mechanix worked on my car and even took it for a drive to listen for a noise I had been hearing. He replaced the belts but told me I didn’t need the struts and I could wait to get new tires. Another job well done. I won’t go anywhere else.

So I get into an accident and my Jeep’s entire front end is now in my trunk. Allstate gives me this place and tells me they will call to make the appointment.
I get the call and bring in my Jeep. The owner greeted me gave me a handshake and explained how the process would work. He was very nice and told me evrything would be done in about a week. To make matters even better, I was just about to ask him for the number of a local taxi company to get home, when he says «Hey do you need a ride home?». He had one of his mechanics bring me back to my place. I was astonished!
The car was done 3 days earlier then promised and looked perfect.
I really like this place.
