Me and my boyfriend are currently in the process of moving into 66 main and we couldn’t be happier. Eva was an absolute joy to work with from beginning to end. She made us feel so comfortable like we were her family and was very knowledgable about the building and area. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great apartment. She is professional and very sweet. We love you Eva!

Great experience as a transferring tenant from a studio to 1 bedroom! Eva was very professional and personable as she always is: not only did she find me something right away, she allowed a 3 day early move in time WITHOUT ANY EXTRA FEES. As a pharmacist, I work with people on a day to day basis; I know good, honest people when I see them. With that being said, my experience from the doorman Melvin, Roland, etc to the Super, cleaning staff all the way up to management– Eva Rosenfield has been exceptional. I have never experienced any rodent issues and I have been there for a year thus far, everyone is friendly and most importantly as a young single female I feel SAFE. Not to mention, the building is beautiful and clean. Thanks management for all your help, it’s been a pleasure and I look forward to working with you further in this upcoming year. Happy new year!

The day you go to the management office to get the tour of the available units they all have a big smile on their face and start telling you all these great things about the community and how happy everyone is. Barbara is okay, she shows you the units and does the paperwork. Eva is nice ONLY when you first sign the lease, when you tell them you are moving out and when she is doing the final walk she is a totally different person. Landon is the worst manager ever, its been over 8 months since I’ve been waiting to get my deposit back and he doesn’t return calls, voicemail or emails. The only guy who gave this place 5 stars had a different review months back so I am wondering why he changed it… Anyhow, if you don’t care about losing your 2k deposit and/​or the smell of marijuana then this is the place for you. Otherwise, you will count down to move out and never get your deposit back.

My husband and I lived in the building for one year and had to move due to our expanding family. When asked if we could do a month to month lease while we looked for other options (even in the building), Landon told us that our rent (albeit in the same apartment) would increase by $ 600 per month. We had no choice but to move. On the day of our walk through after moving out and thoroughly having the apartment cleaned, Eva (the asst manager) attempted to hit us with all types of unconscionable fees (a movie in fee, painting fee, oven fee, etc). We only paid $ 500 security deposit, so I was sure they were going to keep that, but was not prepared for them to send us to collections a FULL YEAR after we moved out for charges that are not warranted. They had our forwarding address as we moved only one block away. We paid our rent each month and on time. The shady management and rodent issues are enough to warrant not moving there. Downtown Yonkers is starting to flourish with great housing options. Do yourself a favor and forego the headache. They even kept a $ 2,000 deposit of someone else we knew who didn’t want to put up the fight.

Ultimately it is up to you, but for what it’s worth, this was our experience at 66 Main street, Yonkers:
We lived here for a year and couldn’t wait to leave.
They tell you whatever it is you want to hear before signing the lease, as soon as this is done… The real mgmt team comes out.
We loved our unit and thought the blg was beautiful and close to my job, so we made the stupid decision to ignore the reviews and see for ourselves… big mistake.
On move in day the apartment was not ready, no one cleaned it, as was promised, the tiles in the master bathroom were still dirty from the previous tenants, missing or broken fixtures in all the rooms, broken electrical outlets, dirty fridge and dishwasher and the garbage disposal smelled like sewer. There was more, but I’ll spare you.
At this point we should have turned around and just left, but sadly we had signed a lease.
Don’t be seduced by all the dazzle, this is a fancy, overpriced project, complete with strippers, noisy drunks and other questionable characters with questionable income, driving expensive cars.
The concierge and maintenance staff are the only good thing about the staff.
We over payed in electric bills because billing is not consistent or transparent, forget about getting a refund or credit. Eva the assistant mgr looks into your eyes with sincerity and lies to you. She pretends to understand but is no better than her slimy boss Landon Cole.
There is a permanent odor of marihuana in the building, is seeps through the vents, many nights I woke up coughing and choking due to the this, don’t bother complaining, the pot smell is part of the package, it’s there to greet you when you enter the blg either from the main entrance and especially from the 2^nd fl garage door.
Don’t waste your breath and saliva talking to the manager, he just stands there like a cartoon figurine with a blank stare in his eyes. As soon as you tell them you are moving out they find creative ways to keep most of your money. We were two professionals, no kids or pets, we took care of the apt, never made noise or caused any problems, we worked and paid our bills.
We had the decency to clean after moving out, yet they kept $ 125 for each wall (to paint the 2b, 2b apt), move out fee, plus the money we overpaid for electricity… you do the math.
What I find interesting is that we were not given any credit for moving into a Luxury apt that was not ready for us, but we were charged every penny possible when we moved out. No one in mgt was available to give straight answers, return phone calls or emails.

Living there for the first 5 – 6 years this building made my life better than it’s ever been. It was the place to be, somewhere people would wait on a list to get into, now the list is longer of people dying to get out. It’s sad to see what this building turned into.

I wish I wish I could write a decent review about this place. I don’t like negativity, but this is potentially someone’s home so I feel obligated to warn folks away. We lived in the sister building 92 Main for three years. For most of that period the building was absolutely filthy, garbage piling up, maintenance undone, broken laundry machines, leaking roofs, no security, strangers wandering into building, homeless people living in the building, and when we moved out, hidden fees, a security deposit held for no reason, a rip off in every way. In my very disappointed opinion, do not rent here. You will regret it. Such a pity. Yonkers is working very hard to recover their downtown. With landlords like this they stand no chance.

I have been a tenant here for over two years and I guess I have a much different view of the building. When I looked in the area, I did not see anything else like this place. In fact, there are no other apartment buildings like this unless you want to move to White Plains and there I found it to be much more expensive for less space. I guess I have a reverse feeling of how the management change has effected me. Honestly during my first year year here I was not happy with the way it was going and was considering breaking my lease. It was a bit too lax and nothing was being taken care of. Once they changed over management, I found it to be more in control and in result my requests got taken care of in a timely matter. I feel now is the best it has ever been and I find the more you respect the building and your apartment, the more you can get back.
The apartment I occupy is a great layout. Two very clean bathrooms, a huge master bedroom with a extremely large closet. The second bedroom is a very nice room and there is good privacy between the rooms. I love the kitchen as it is part of the large living room. With the dramatic large windows I can raise the shades up there is tons of light. It’s also really nice when entertaining at night. I have central heat and AC, plus a washer and dryer that both work fine. When the washer was busted they put a new one in. Lots of closet space and the best is indoor parking. The staff are all cool. I love the Melvin, Yvonne and Steve. They are like family. Eddie is the master of maintenance and give him a lot of respect for what he does. The building has events, a nice gym, community room, outdoor space with nice views and they keep the building clean.
As for the area. It is growing rapidly. Crime is everywhere. I lived in Chappaqua NY for 8 years and there was crime there too. So «yes» you can’t take anything for granted. I’ve also met the captain of police and he is very friendly. He gave me his email and cell number to contact him for any problems I see. He also will respond to you. After attending a community meeting. They are very serious about making this more of a good community to live in.
For restaurants. I love X20! The dining room is very nice, but I recommend eating at the bar. The food is spectacular and the bartenders are very good. Zuppa is always another great restaurant, and Not to forget Bella Havana if you like Cuban food. There is a nice park over by the library and the waterfront is fun during the summer. Also if you like wine go to «Wine in Do time» She has a great selection. Rivertown liquors is also a very nice family business. You will find many good places to check out.
I understand that some people have had some bad experiences and hope that it all gets worked out soon. I have also heard people complain about this building but don’t want to move because they can’t find anything as nice. I personally don’t work for this building and have no direct connection to anyone in charge, I just understand that for those who are having a good experience most likely wouldn’t think to write a review for an apartment building.
Anyway I hope this review helps if you are considering looking in this area. It may seem expensive, but when you really look around it is way cheaper then living in the city and you get a lot of space and amenities for the price.

Current tenant and I can not wait until my lease is up! I’ve lived in the building for almost 5 years already and this past year has been the worst that it has been. Management has always been a joke, but since the newest management team entered the building it has gone to shits! it appears as they only care about the rent check at the end of the month instead of renting out to better people to keep the quality of the building.
The only reason I give one star because I am not able to give half a star! Front staff is very helpful… Melvin, Steve and Yvonne. The common room and outdoor space is cool.
The washer and dryer in the units are old and when one messes up, maintenance replaces it with another old unit from an empty apartment.
The cameras in the building do not work except for the 9^th floor. Huge safety issue! The neighborhood is not the best so just hope nothing happens because no one will know.
The 3^rd floor garage door was broken for months. During that time, cars were broken into and things were stolen. Management did nothing about it and did not compensate anyone for there broken car windows. All management said for months was it that they are waiting on a part and the camera was not working in that location so we couldn’t see who stole/​broken into your car… yeah right because the camera is broken (which are they also waiting for a part).
Good luck with sending an email regarding an issue because you will not receive a response.
As Richard mentioned, I smell so much marijuana smoke in the hallways and in my apartment its ridiculous. Management response was to put febrezze spray cans in the hallways and a letter about it from management. Someone in the office even told me, that marijuana will be legal soon so I would have to get used to it! The smoke also comes through the vents so if you have your heat or A/​C on it will be in your apartment as well!
The winter months are approaching so that means the heat will not be working. When the temperature outside dips below a certain degree the pipes freeze and so does your apartment. This has occurred for almost 5 years already and nothing has been done. One year management has to purchase heaters for the tenants, I was one of them, that had to have a heating unit in the living room, both bedrooms, and the bathroom because every week my heating unit was frozen!
With all this said, if your looking for a building near transportation, and a nice view, this building is for you. If you also enjoy marijuana, unprofessionalism, dangerous situations, if you have a car that you want broken into, a cold apartment, and dirty clothes… then this the building for you as well.

In a nutshell: Nice building, friendly maintenance staff/​front desk personnel. Extremely unprofessional and shady management that are scamming tenants systematically.

I echo the review above– even worse, management took out OVER 60% of our deposit without ANY explanation, and has been non-​responsive in our repeated email/​phone call for an answer. (Property manager said he will get us something in FIVE minutes, and that was THREE weeks ago)
We left the apartment in the condition that was rented to us, at the move out inspection he told us there would only be a minimal cleaning fee.
The same thing has happened to MULTIPLE units — we were told horror stories about the management right before we moved, and it appears they were true.
We lived at 66 main for five years — nice building, friendly maintenance staff/​front desk personnel. But dealing with the shady and unprofessional management will not be worth your while. The building used to be managed well, but has taken a nose dive recently.
We would strongly encourage you to reconsider if you are considering 66 Main Street and metro 92 lofts.

It took 5 months to receive my security deposit and there is a $ 250 move out fee.
If you don’t feel like reading my long review of this terrible establishment, then I think that the first sentence is reason enough to live elsewhere. If you want the full story, continue reading.
I’ll start off with the good. It is a nice place, well maintained, and they are prompt with repairs. The weekday door woman and man are the nicest people ever. But trying to move out of this place is an absolute nightmare.
In order to move out, you must reserve the elevator on weekdays only. Therefore you must coordinate with your movers and 66 main office. I reserved the elevator 3 weeks in advance. When I wanted to confirm 5 days prior, they stated that day was taken. I keep copies of all my e-​mails to prove that I received written confirmation of said reservation. Luckily the other tenant was able to move their move out day. But can you imagine the nightmare it would have been to have two people move out on the same day! Another fine example of how unorganized this establishment is.
But wait it gets much worse. To make my life easier, I had 66 main take out the rent check from my checking account. Big mistake, because they continued taking money out 2 months after I moved out! Yes, I was out $ 3000 due to the company’s ineptitude. I called and complained and their property manager stated he would take care of it right away. Needless to say, it was a constant cat and mouse game to get my hard earned money back. He would always say that I’ll have a Fed Ex number for you, etc. Nothing. He wouldn’t call back and when I finally got a hold of him, he would apologize for continuously dropping the ball. I ended up receiving my $ 3000 by regular mail a long month after my first complaint.
Then comes the security deposit. Again, the property manager said it would be on its way. A month later, I did not receive it. So the cat and mouse game continued for another 2 weeks. I finally got my security deposit but it was $ 250 short. I called and he said there is a $ 250 move out fee.
In conclusion, this is the most unorganized rental property ever. They do not have their act together and have no idea how to deal with their customers in a professional manner.
This is a great property if you plan on living here forever. If you want to move out, you are already in the hole $ 250 so it’s your money to waste.
