Specialties

We provide custom Pet Portraits on birch panels. Dog paintings, cat paintings, horse paintings — you name it. The panels are thick (1 ½″) and are able to stand freely on bookshelves and desktops as well as hanging on a wall. We offer an Icon Style that incorporates gold-​leaf in the background. Otherwise a solid color background is standard. Paintings of beloved pets make a great gift for the pet lover in your life.

History

Established in 2015.

I started painting pet portraits recently after deciding I needed to do something that was meaningful to me in my life. After being diagnosed with breast cancer and going through all the treatment (cancer –free!), I wanted to do something with my days that felt important and fun, so I started Paint of Heart Pets.

I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a BFA in Printmaking/​Painting in 1992. After several years as an interior designer, I decided to make a change and get back to my roots.
